Do you really need this much wide skis? How do narrower skis work in the conditions in which y'all ski? I mean the ones with waist width in eighties or nineties? Or even short, like Volkl Deacon 75.
Yeah, most of our staffers prefer wider skis. We're typically chasing pow, skiing chop, and don't mind carving or skiing bumps on wider skis. Those narrower skis are for sure quicker and snappier carving groomers and skiing moguls. Realistically, they're just fine for many days on any mountain. Lots of our staff just opt for the freeride feel and soft-snow versatility of wider skis.
Considering getting the qst 98, what’s the difference between that and the lumen 98?
