Pretty sure the clear glass piece with the hole in the back goes between the wires of a bird cage. For feed I think. At least that's what I have in my decor only bird cage🤷🏻♀️
Sorry to sound a little crazy, but I’m so weary with all the sorrow in the news these days it’s nice to have somewhere to go to forget about it for a few minutes
Jos. Thats a glass bird feeder for your parakeet's cage. You have it laying on its back. The hole goes to the top ( to match the hole in the cage ), an that foot part twist between the bars to hold it in place.
I would have taken a chance on the squirrels. Someone would love to have them on their table for the holidays. A great conversation piece. I think the cranberry vase has a stylized art deco tulip. So glad you went back for the two little owls. They are precious
I really love when you shop at this place. Always so many great pieces and the prices are so good. That beautiful green swan neck vase though 😊 what a very happy find, so tall!
Hello Jocelyn!I have been following for quite some time now from India. Enjoyed and learned a lot. Discovered Fenton art glass which I am planning to buy the next time I go to the us. Through your channel I have also discovered Kate and following her too. Love that too❤
The little clear glass container at about 8:40 is for a small wire bird cage to hold water or seeds for a feeder. Can detach from the outside of the cage for refilling.
Those were actually chipmunks on the cream and sugar set and were priced a little high for a flip so you were right to pass on them despite how cute they were!
That particular Hutschenreuther mark [who chain roy tear (like in tear apart)] with the name Lorenz above it was only used from 1968-1970. Lorenz was the eldest son of the founder of the original Hutschenreuther company in Hohenberg (founded in 1814). In 1857, after a dispute, Lorenz founded his own company in Selb (all places located in Franconia in Northern Bavaria where the natural resources for making porcelain were available). The two Hutschenreuther companies finally merged in 1969. They went out of business in 1998. The trademark Hutschenreuter was sold to Rosenthal [rose an tall].
Just learned this trick when looking for milk glass. Hold it up to the light. If it becomes translucent, leave it. The more opaic, the better and usually older. For seasonal tablescapes, lay an appropriate color runner. Place an assortment of milk glass, high and low. Fill each with a single type of flower, ornaments, cones, greens, etc. The deconstructed arrangement brings importance to the individuals used. The Whiting and Davis bag is from the 70s. The company also made a few pieces of mesh clothes during this time.
danielclaeys7598 Sorry but that isn't quite true. It depends on the maker, pattern, minor variations in the glass formula that day, and there is no hard and fast rule that can be followed. Such as, the more recent white milk glass from Hazel Atlas, Indiana Glass and Anchor Hocking, yes much of it can be more translucent (especially a lot of the cheaper mass-produced florist ware) BUT also quite a lot of the older milk glass can be also. I have a creamer with a hand-applied handle, circa late 1870s, that is translucent. Same with some Atterbury & Co milk glass from the 1880s-90s. And yes some older glass is "dead white", so you can't see a thing when holding up to the light. But so is some quite new glass.
@@davidwhitten2097 You sound like you know a lot about milk glass, a rabbit hole that I don't know much about. I want to ask you a question about it as I have some and I have trouble moving it. Just because a piece is old, does that make it valuable? I can see the difference between a Westmoreland and a Jeanette, but is it still apples to apples in value or does age play into it?
@@danielclaeys7598 Well to be honest, I probably know enough just to be dangerous!!! But the field of milk glass is VERY wide and covers a lot of ground, dozens of glassmakers over the past 150+ years made it. There are no hard and fast rules, it is a complicated field that even longtime glass collectors and dealers have trouble with. No one person can know it all. Older milk glass pieces can be worth more if the pattern has a known name, and the pattern is illustrated and can be identified in reference books. And there are lots of glass reference books out there, but no one has the time and money to get and read them all. Westmoreland, Fenton, Imperial, Fostoria, and others are known for "better" milk glass from the 20th century. Older firms (late 1800s) were Atterbury & Co; Challinor Taylor & Co, Consolidated Glass & Lamp Co, and several others. I think the problem right now is that a lot of the more recent milk glass is so plentiful and there aren't as many collectors competing for it now, as, say, 20 or 30 years ago, so it might not sell as fast in the current market. The bay is saturated with some of the more common patterns. The best advice I've heard is Collect what you really love! Then it won't matter as much if you try to resell it.
Gail here ! I was watching an old flea market video and I miss them . Also miss Eric and the amazing things Andrew found there . Le's see more of Mom please. She's a hoot ! Miss your little shopping buddy too.
The Buffalo Pottery is Deldareware. My grandmother and an aunt were painters at the factory in Buffalo when they first arrived from Germany. It was owned by the Larkin Soap Co. Some Deldare pieces are worth hundreds.
OMG! I just realized I have an Artesania Rinconada lion in my collection! In fact, it's one of the first pieces that STARTED my collection back in the 80s! Thank you, Jocelyn! ❤ I was just watching the Sept 19 video at Goodwill of Lemoyne! Near the beginning, you showed an Artesania Rinconada piece...a Pegasus, I think. Why that piece clicked and not any of the other numerous pieces in your previous videos is anybody's guess! Senior moments abound! 😂
Hi. The Buffalo Pottery plates you looked at at 16:20 are from the DELDARE line, made c.1908 and are collectible. Deldare ware is the most famous pottery made by Buffalo. They can sell quite well.
Yes! My relatives worked there and we had a cabinet filled with it. Later on Buffalo Pottery became Buffalo China and specialized in restaurant ware. Deldare pieces tend to look almost like new because they were mainly for display. Larkin co. used them as premiums for soap purchases.
Those selves sitters are too adorable. Those necklaces are too cute. Love the vases very pretty. There are lots of beautiful treasures at the Antique Mall.. Thanks for sharing your story ❤️ have a wonderful day 😊
Oh this video is chock-ful-o-fun tonight!! lol YES, that 2 Handled ANTIQUE, EARLY Fenton Bon Bon is worth that!! lol It's Waterlily and Cattails Amethyst Opalescent!! It's from 1908-1912!!! A very short production time!! I found 2 blue opal pieces in that pattern while there at another Heritage!!
I have the item you call a tumble-up at 4:04. It's actually a bottle for keeping water in the refrigerator- there's no cup- and BOY does it glow under a UV light! The glass thing at 8:42 was for giving water to your parakeet!
Frankly,I’m sorta glad Ray Dunn stuff has fallen out of favor. I thought I was the only one that thought it was ….. well…. Stupid!😏You have a plain white bowl and you have bowl written on it. It’s like it’s insulting your intelligence. The only thing it’s good for is teaching your preschoolers how to read! I prefer stuff with more character! My opinion tho..
10:22 that art glass bowl for $2.99 is an MCM, Flygsfors, Sweden piece! I have a blue, purple and clear small oval bowl in my inventory and I remember seeing the one in the video when I did my research on mine.
I love it when you find something you plan on keeping! You buy beautiful stuff every trip, but I suspect the 'keepers' are the most exciting!! Love that vase!! I hope we get to see a hoilday house tour sometime before Christmas!
Joselyn. I am happy for you to be able to add to your tall vase collection with a new green one. Like when you mix up the shops between all the Goodwills. ❤️ 😍 💖
Hi Jocelyn! The Buffalo Pottery Deldare Ware line can be worth a lot. I found some at the Goodwill one time and sold them for pretty good money. So now I'm always on the look out for those. BTW I love the swing vase you found. That was a great price.
The shop that you were in on the video showed on the 31st, you picked up a piece of j.Crew jewelry that looked like pinkish oranges. That's very possibly could have been morganite. I did some checking on j.Crew jewelry morganite pieces and they run very high in some in the thousands . You might consider going back and checking it out.
Pretty sure the clear glass piece with the hole in the back goes between the wires of a bird cage. For feed I think. At least that's what I have in my decor only bird cage🤷🏻♀️
I was going to say the same thing!
Yup, exactly.
That’s what it is……for feed or water 🦜
Hello, the little clear glass object you picked up (about 8:30) is a bird feeder that fits into the side of a metal bird cage. :)
The clear glass bowl at around 8:34 is a water dish to be put in a bird cage.
Indeed. They fit through the cage's metal ribs
Yes. There would be one at each end of the cage. One for food, and one for water.
I thought that is what it was, but I didn't want to sound ridiculous if it wasn't. My mom used to raise cockatoos and finches.
Sorry to sound a little crazy, but I’m so weary with all the sorrow in the news these days it’s nice to have somewhere to go to forget about it for a few minutes
You dont sound crazy at all. Quite reasonable really
Totally agree with you!!
While this country is falling apart, I need a fun distraction too!
Jos. Thats a glass bird feeder for your parakeet's cage. You have it laying on its back. The hole goes to the top ( to match the hole in the cage ), an that foot part twist between the bars to hold it in place.
Thank you. I like to end my day with your videos. For some reason, they are calming.
I would have taken a chance on the squirrels. Someone would love to have them on their table for the holidays. A great conversation piece. I think the cranberry vase has a stylized art deco tulip. So glad you went back for the two little owls. They are precious
Oh the squirrels I would have bought that in a heartbeat
I think they were shaped like squirrels but painted like chipmunks either way super cute.😊
At $44 probably would have taken a loss
@@hwelch2Yes…those were definitely chipmunks!
I was lucky enough to find that Santa blow mold cookie jar at a flea market for $10. 🎅
I really love when you shop at this place. Always so many great pieces and the prices are so good. That beautiful green swan neck vase though 😊 what a very happy find, so tall!
Hiya Jocelyn. At 8:42, that is a vintage glass bird feeder dish for a bird cage. I had 4 of them and sold them awhile back.
Hello Jocelyn!I have been following for quite some time now from India. Enjoyed and learned a lot. Discovered Fenton art glass which I am planning to buy the next time I go to the us. Through your channel I have also discovered Kate and following her too. Love that too❤
The small odd-shaped glass piece is for a bird cage to water the parakeets
The milk and sugar with the squirrels were so cute!🐿️🐿️
The vase is a great piece for your collection.👌🏻🫶🏼
Chipmunks
The little clear glass container at about 8:40 is for a small wire bird cage to hold water or seeds for a feeder. Can detach from the outside of the cage for refilling.
On that rose vase, I do believe that is not a broom on the front. I believe it is a Vintage Eglish street lamp.
I agree. I too thought of a street lamp when I saw it.
I thought it was a abstract picture of a flower
I see a TV tower or a watchtower. But I really don't get it why someone wants any of these on a vase 😆
Nothing like I’m afraid.
Those were actually chipmunks on the cream and sugar set and were priced a little high for a flip so you were right to pass on them despite how cute they were!

Yes! I love filling my milk glass bowls with vintage Christmas ornaments. It looks so festive.

That little glass item you didn't know the purpose was a bird feeder/waterer for an old bird cage
1:45 LOOOOOOOOOVE the frosted deco style vase just to the right of the owl.
The picture on the pink glass vase looks like a stopper for a decanter to me.

Watching from South Africa. We don't get the milk glass here and I love it. It's so pretty . Enjoy your treasure hunting!

glass water feeder for a bird cage.....
At 8:36, the glass piece looks like a bird feeder. It’s twisted into the horizontal bars of the cage. Possible made in the 60’s or later
You should have grabbed the squirrels! Those werw fantastic and Im certain youd have made a profit, people go crazy for interesting squirrel pieces.
10:22 that art glass bowl for $2.99 is an MCM, Flygsfors, Sweden piece! I have a blue, purple and clear small oval bowl in my inventory and I remember seeing the one in the video when I did my research on mine.
Squirrels were chipmunks-did you notice the stripes?🥲

How is KC doing? it's been a hot minute since we have seen her.I love when you shop together🙂
The 'broom' on the pink vase looked like a television tower. Like the CN tower in Toronto or the Danube Tower in Vienna.
Love the owl piece and the vase is beautiful 😊
That glass thing was a bird cage water or feeder. Hooked on the side of the cage.
Hi all🎉. Happy Monday
That lampshade has been in the back area of your car for weeks. That would drive me nuts.
I noticed that, also.😮
Lol don't come to my house then! Stuff sits in piles for months 😂
Often we see the same day on multiple videos. So, probably that lamp has not been there as many days as you have seen it.
I loved all that you bought,Jocelyn especially the vases..all the different colours are wonderful❤
The dress form covered with jewelry!!! I would have loved a close up!!
I have the tea pot that matches the squirrel creamer and sugar set
I love it when you find something you plan on keeping! You buy beautiful stuff every trip, but I suspect the 'keepers' are the most exciting!! Love that vase!! I hope we get to see a hoilday house tour sometime before Christmas!
Can we see the swung glass collection? Please??
Thanks 😊
It was a bird seed cup for a vintage bird cage
I think the amberina bud vase looks like Fenton and likely glows under black light. Cadmium glass
That vase was a bargain and the ash tray set…loved the little owl… you got some really good bargains today well done…❤
Nice vase!!

That's my favourite way to buy - something for me, then a few other bits to cover the cost LOL 💚
I live near the closed Pilgrim factory. The cranberry glass is my favorite!
that vase you pick up is a lamp post
Hi Jocelyn! The Buffalo Pottery Deldare Ware line can be worth a lot. I found some at the Goodwill one time and sold them for pretty good money. So now I'm always on the look out for those. BTW I love the swing vase you found. That was a great price.
Happy Thanksgiving Blessings to you and family ❤❤
Thanks, lots of things I haven't seen before
I have several pieces of jewelry made of labradorite; and I have a hard time saying that word, too! 😂
That odd clear glass object was perhaps a bird water cup/dispenser I think.
Did you see the cider pitcher and 6 mugs? It appeared to have transfers.
The clear glass piece does belong to a bird cage
Way better than goodwill prices for sure! That vase is almost as tall as you!
Think it would be neat if you had one if your cabinets at Bedford St. Filled with fancy cups and saucers
I love that Smoky Quartz perfume bottle necklace. It would make a perfect gift for my youngest daughter.
Could you please call out price on what not every one please..
Pretty sure the rose vase design is a stylized modernist rose
I think the clear glass pie e wS a seed feeder used in parakeet cages
The 'oil light' glass thingie looks like a seed or water dish for an old wire birdcage
🐿 chipmunkks 😂
Not a oil lamp its a water dish for old bird cage
Such wonderful treasures!🎉
Am very keen on that Buffalo Pottery. Looks like a great place.
I love the owl hanging!! I work the day of the sale though😢
Loved everything ❤️
The book section! Reminds me of Half priced books! I could get lost in that section.
