First test of HYPULSE shock tunnel at Purdue - Mach 7 Schlieren video

- This Schlieren video shows the pressure gradients and a Mach 7 shockwave inside the test section of the HYPULSE shock tunnel. The tunnel is inside Purdue University's Hypersonic Advanced Research Facility (HARF), located at Zucrow Labs. This was recorded at 20,000 fps.
This initial test was conducted at 10 percent of the maximum pressure for the tunnel. In its current configuration, the HYPULSE is theoretically capable of replicating conditions up to Mach 40. Additional testing in Summer 2024 will prove out that capability.
