My brother affectionately refers to the crisper as the "rotter"-- the place you store fresh vegetables until they are no longer edible and thrown out!
Good information. One of our garlic sprouted two weeks ago. I separated all the cloves and planted then in some pots. They are now in a sunny window in a cat free room. The greens are growing up and up. Hopefully I'll get some new bulbs.
Awesome video Derica. Really helpful and informative. They really did grow super well and healthy.
I've had good luck doing this with romaine lettuce before. Never tried any of the other things you mentioned. I've been researching white potatoes and found that the eyes you cut off and plant are called CHITS. I'll be planting about 35 chips later this afternoon. Thank you for all your hard work.
Happy gardening and thank you for watching!
Very cool. BTW, you mentioned the mycelium in your soil. I found with my ornamental plants that the mycorrhiza inoculant made a huge difference. I haven’t compared one with and one without, but since I started adding it to all my plants they seem to be much healthier.
I love it!! Definitely trying to grow some ginger.
Thanks for this video, I’m looking forward to trying ginger, celery and scallions. I’ve tried scallions and leeks from seed so many time and rarely have any plants to show for my efforts.
I have similar difficulty growing onions from seed. The growing from scraps method works so much better for me. Happy planting! 👩🌾
Very cool. Thanks, Derica!
Glad you liked it!
