Agnetha and Frida both have beautiful voices but singing together it was like one beautiful single voice, something magical happened, and the complicated layered harmonies are just wonderful.
You just discovered one of the biggest bands there ever was. They were MEGA famous all over the world for years and years and years. They have tons of fantastic songs and I wouldn't be surprised if you've heard 1-2 of them before. They had such a big cultural impact that their fame spawned a musical and a film: both called Mamma Mia.
I’ll just build on your perfect intro. ABBA is a Swedish group. Two couples, every one of them a star before they joined up. Massive hit all through the 70’s around the world. Their relationships deteriorated under enormous fame and, well, they were really young when they met. They walked away from it all in 1981. Then, last year they reunited against all expectations and recorded new music 40 years later. You need to discover them.
ABBA are 4 musicians from Sweden. The First "A" stands vor "Agneta", the blonde one, the second "B" means ""Benny", one male musician, the third "B" stands for "Bjoern" the other male and the last "A" means "Annifried", the dark haired Girl.
Have you been living under a rock? ABBA were a huge world wide group from Sweden. They were massive for at least 25 years. Films have been made based on their songs Mamma Mia with Meryl Streep. It’s remarkable that you haven’t heard their songs before.
The gorgeous auburn haired lady is Anni-Frid and the blonde one is Agnetha. They have voices that blend together so perfecctly.......and they aren't bad to look at either.
they’re a group, two men, two women and four of the greatest artists ever !!! probably my favourite group of all time. The long version of this song is astounding, the guitar playing is unbelievable.

This is my favourite Abba song. The atmosphere is so good on this recording you almost can see them sawing over the mountains. I grew up with all the fabulous music from the 60's-80's. ABBA was one of my favorites. They had lots of hits & I owned many of their albums. I can't think of a bad song by them. Some of their best are "Gimme, Gimme, Gimme", "Thank You For The Music", "Does Your Mother Know?", "Waterloo", "Money, Money, Money", "The Name Of The Game", "Super Trouper", "I Have A Dream", "Voulez-Vous", "Fernando", "Chiquitita", "Take A Chance On Me", "Mamma Mia", "SOS", "Knowing Me, Knowing You", "Dancing Queen" etc. Nice to see that they are back together again recording after all these years.

ABBA are a Swedish group, both the women's names start with A and both their husbands names start with B, hence ABBA. The husband's played instruments and did backing vocals. They had so many number one hits, the movie Mama Mia is based on their songs, plus, there is a movie/mockumentary about their Australian tour
ABBA started 1972. The two couples are not married any longer but still dear friends. Björn (Bjoern) and Agnetha (Ang-neta), have two children together Linda and Christian and grandchildren so they meet now and then. Now this latest production VOYAGE was made in 5 weeks of hard work 8 hours aday as Björn and Benny told. They were all surprised of how easy everything was like they left the studio last week and not 1982. Since they are very talented and intelligent people they succeded with an album. I've listened to these people since the 60-ies. I'm in the same age as Benny. Björn is born 1945 and oldest and Frida is born later same year. Benny is born 1946 and Agnetha 1950. Björn was in The Hootenanny Singers in the 1960-ies and Benny in The Hep Stars. The girls were vocalists in different dancebands. Anni-Frid started as a 14-year old vocalist mostly singing jazz in the beginning. Agneta was in a danceband, but has produced some recordings as soloartist too, writing both notes and lyrics.
Funny how all these comment say were,,past tense. Yes they were HUGE from 1974 to 1982. They have sold over 400,000,000 albums world wide. But the story does not end! ABBA has reunited and released a new Album. They are all in there 70's now and still sound great. The Album got to number 2 in the USA Billboard charts and number 1 in 16 different countries. Check out their new Album called Voyager and the Concert in London in May of this year.
These is the Swedish group ABBA who leads in the 70s decade They are Two couples: Two man musicians songwriters Two woman leading singers ABBA have +- 20 worldwide hits: Dancing Queen Fernando Chiquitita Waterloo S.O.S. Mamma Mía Knowing me knowing you Take a chance on me The winner takes it all Super Trouper My suggestion is to react Dancing Queen, their biggest hit See you in next video Note: after 40 years ABBA comes back with a new album in 2021 They ages are between 72 to 77
ABBA is a band who were initially active from 1972-1982. The Name comes from the 4 members initials. They were 2 married couples but both marriages ended in divorce in the early 80’s. They have sold over 400 million albums worldwide. Their music is used in the musical Mamma Mia and the 2 films Mamma Mia ! and Mamma Mia Here we go again. They were approached a few years ago to put on new concerts using digital versions of themselves as they were on the 70’s and as a result of this they decided to record a couple of new songs to be performed as well as their older hits. They enjoyed recording them so much that they decided to do a new album called Voyage which was released on 5th Nov 2021 almost 40 years after their last Album The Visitors. I suggest you listen to the Greatest Hits Album entitled ABBA GOLD, but also listen to their Album songs because they contain many a hidden gem.
Two married couples. Agnetha, Bjorn, Benny, Anni-Frid (ABBA). 400 million records sold. 3rd biggest selling group in history. Go down that ABBA rabbit hole. You won't be disappointed.
The group was formed in the early 70's in Sweden - they decided to write songs in English... the name of the group Abba was from the first letters of their first names - Agnetha, Bjorn, Benny, Anni-Frid (Frida) ... They were couples at the time they formed - Bjorn and Agnetha were married; Benny and Frida were engaged (they married in 1978) ... Benny and Bjorn were friends from the music scene in Sweden, and they wrote Abba's songs together. Agnetha (the blonde) and Frida (the brunette) had very complimentary voices that harmonized perfectly. Bjorn would also sing certain Abba songs. Abba became global superstars in 1976 when the single 'Dancing queen' went #1 all over the world. Sadly, fame & fortune would also cause their breakups... Bjorn and Agnetha split up in 1978, just after Benny & Frida officially married... Benny split from Frida in 1980... Abba stopped touring after 1979... they stopped making record after 1983 and ended. However, Abba's catalog of music sold millions in the 90's and beyond... Recently, the 4 members recorded a new album 'Voyage' in 2021 which went into the charts worldwide... Abba wanted to make 1 last record together that came after 40 years.
Eagle has been released as Single in 1978 - I was 10 Years old. Not easy time for me, but the life has been always better when I am hearing ABBA. A great Song with deep going Melody and magic Voices. Thank you for this Video. Greetings from Nuremberg - Germany 🙂
The Abba rabbit hole 🕳 is very deep! Can’t wait for you to start the journey Dancing Queen Knowing me knowing you The Visitors The Winner Takes it All So many more great songs by them!
ABBA were a league of their own in the 70s and early 80s; worldwide, there was likely no one else as successful & popular. "Knowing Me, Knowing You", "Fernando," and "Take a Chance On Me' are three of their most insanely catchy songs.
what Abba do at the moment is the last year Album Voyage..... They do things with Industrial light and Magic that the world have never sean today. Ten New revival songs. komplet new, And the same like ever. The show will start in London on may 27.
ABBA was huge in the 70's into the early 80's In the time they were a band, the four you saw in this video married and broke up in the life time of the band. Despite the break up and silence the band held for years, they never stopped being friends, and just this year they have hooked up again to make a new album and do motion capture for a new live digital show, as the member getting a bit too on to keep traveling live like they used to. Some hits from them to look up Does Your Mother Know, S.O.S., Gimme Gimme Gimme, Dancing Queen, Winner Takes It All, Knowing Me Knowing You, and for me their biggest early release from the new album Don't Shut Me Down.
They are now 300 years old together and released a new record last year. It's amazing that there are people who don't know about ABBA, it's like not knowing about Beatles, Queen, Pink Floyd and so on.
Thanks for having been chequed out what ABBA músic is listning for. There mágic and unbeleavable and a Deep Part of my musical history growing up with them and still being in love. Your reaction was like tourning back to my roots listning them the First time. I couldn‘t get enough. Thanks ❤️
Dude, where have you been? Abba popularity is up there with the Beatles, around the world. They have had more #1 songs around the world then most bands have songs. Check out "Dancing Queen", "SOS" and "What;s The Name Of The Game", Take A Chance On Me", "The Winner Takes It All" all standouts
Here's a few other songs from ABBA, "One Man One Woman", "Name Of The Game", "Take A Chance On Me", "Hole In Your Soul", "Fernando", Waterloo", "Knowing Me Knowing You" and of course, "Dancing Queen", I think that's a pretty good start, lol! I was surprised that you chose this song to react to, good choice btw, it's one of my favorites by them. This was really a great video reaction, thanks!
ABBA one of the most legendary bands of all time. When they part they got offers from all over the world to reunite and do a worldtour. The highest known offer was 1 billion dollar, no joke and they denied. Just last year? (or the year before) they reunited and published a new album and the world was in an uproar. You really have found a damn deep rabbit hole. Have fun, bro.
The gorgeous vocals of beautiful Anni-Frid (brunette) and Agnetha (blonde) always blended perfectly with the musicianship of Bjorn and handsome Benny (with the beard).
You should check out their "Knowing Me, Knowing You", "Take A Chance On Me", "The Winner Takes It All", "The Name Of The Game", "Waterloo", "On And On And On", man! Just pick ANYTHING from their MASSIVE song list! They once had a Greatest Hits album titled "The Magic Of ABBA" and that's what their sound is!!!
You discovered one of the most succesfull and influencal grouwp of history stetting pop standards till today. For excample they had once an owen TV show from Swizerland where a "nice coming up group from US" could also present a song, the Jackson Five with young Michael. They were two couples from Sweden, the men doing exceptional composing and producing an the women doing incredible singing. They were real singers, one had an opera education, who sang it out, not wishpered in the mice like many do today. The had incredible numbers of banger hits and were beside the Beatles the only group who caused a "mainia", the ABBAmania. Something like this never had happened since. Alos unique: they stopped in 1982, split private as each couple and professsionally. And last year after 40(!!) years, now in their 70ies the did a comeback record that really hit it, besides they will start a visual show in London avatars of themselves. The point was that they were never that succesfull in US because US music industry saw them as "in a war" against their industry, so they were kind of ignored there.Madonna personally flew to Stockholm to get the permission from them to use their intro of "Gimme Gimme Gimme" for a song of hers, she got it with the agreement to share the comercial income of the song. Cheer did a complete album with their songs (which i don´t like). It is funny and touching to see a young guy in US today discovering this kind of quality, go on!
ABBA was one of the best bands in the world in the 1970-1980`s They have numerous superhits!!!!! Last year they finally made a "Comeback" after 30!!!!! Years .....And they sounded just as good as always! I am sure you have heard them one way or another before. You just didnt know it was ABBA. You can , if you want, work your way backwards and start with their newest hit "Dont Shut Me Down" from their last album 2021 "Voyage" The name ABBA is taken from their first letter in their surnames A = Agnetha (The blond lady), B= Björn (Guitar) , B = Benny (Piano) and A = Annefrid (The dark haired lady) The group is from Stockholm, Sweden So please go react to their new hitsingle " Dont Shut Me Down" ...It will be very interesting to hear what you think of their music....After all the group is from the 70-80`s
Hey A, this was an amazing group from the 70s, amazing vocals a group who thru their controversies stayed on track for the music, like Fleetwood Mac...Thanx for the memories, Peace
Agnetha vocals Björn lyrics, guitar Benny music, piano, synthesizer Anni-Frid vocals That said Björn do the lead singing occationally, Benny only once (We all liked it, but he didn't) When Agnetha and Anni-Frid sing the same notes it's often refered to as The Third Voice, because their voices melt into one. They have a rather broad repertoire, both musically and concerning the lyrics. Enjoy!
ABBA Greatest Hits album was owned by one in six Australians at one time. There are two men and women in the band. They just released another albums. Three of the band are from Sweden and I think the other is from Norway.
second best selling band in history, 22 worldhits and 80+ could be hits if they just had put them out as singles. Every song is completely different but their sound is very recognizable. They are a unique phenomenon. This song is less know and this official video version is the short version. especcially the outro is very good in the longer version
Thank you for your reaction! This song is amazing and I love it. It is mystical, with hidden meaning. And catching at the same time. ABBA is a fantastic and epic group. The best! HEJA SVERIGE! Love from Lena
The two men were responsible for the music. They added many instruments and would re-record them at a slightly different pitch or speed to achieve a fuller sound. You were quick to pick up on how well the 2 girls voices blended together perfectly. Separately, they were both fantastic, but together it was magical. Put it all together and it became known simply as the sound of ABBA, unique and still unmatched 50 years later.
ABBA were superstars of pop music in the 70's (from Sweden). The name is made up of the first letters of the first names of the four band members. (Agnetha, Björn, Benny, Anni-Frid). "Eagle" isn't really a typical ABBA song, but since ABBA have made a wide variety of music, "typical" is also difficult to define. (You've already received a lot of suggestions for further songs). The lyrics of ABBA were always surprisingly deep for pop music, the arrangements perfect. Maybe also interesting for you: ABBA released a new album at the end of last year after a 40-year break. The whole album ("Voyage") is very nice, "I Still Have Faith In You" and "Don't Shut Me Down" are probably the most important songs on this album in terms of their "reunion".
I think you should start with "Dancing Queen" as this was the song that "got the ball really rolling for them". It was not their first but it is the one that got everyone's attention. You should watch them live - so fun to see their clothes and to watch them sing. Look forward to seeing Dancing Queen soon!
In their day, the “in-crowd” hated ABBA because they were too commercial which is nonsense. Two amazing singers and two very talented composers/musicians. The songs were masterpieces with beautiful harmonies. Any song by them is well worth listening to.
This incredible group have sold more records than anyone else in the history of music...they are incredible, as you will discover if you stick with them. Thanks for reacting to Abba and just subscribed.
No, while they have sold a huge amount of records its The Beatles that has sold the most and they have sold almost 4 times the amount that ABBA has. I do however think they are great and this is a fantastic song with the fantastic voices of Agnetha and Anni-Frid, i grew up here in Sweden when ABBA were active.
@@isobar5857 I dont know where you got that from but most lists have The Beatles as number one and i have never seen ABBA anywhere near that position, here is the list from Wikipedia for example en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_best-selling_music_artists
@@Stefan- I got my information from Yahoo, that stated Abba had sold 300 million records and the Beatles were at 297 million records. So in truth, who's right and who is wrong ? One thing, in my opinion, is that Abba were far superior in their musical abilities than ever the Beatles were...and I'm from Liverpool, UK. Take care and stay safe.
Pushin the algos, One of their greats "The Winner Takes it All" is about the failed marriage between blonde singer Agnetha Faltskog and the guitar player Bjorn Ulvaeus. Which was Agethas favorite song they did. Much like Fleetwood Mac they work thru their relationships in their music. Peace
ABBA big, big, big for years and their music has lasted. Loved your reaction, please keep checking them out. May I suggest "Fernando" "Chiquitita (English version)" "Dancing Queen" "SOS". So many to choose from. There are actually 4 in the group, two couples, they wrote and sang the songs. Enjoy getting to know one of the most famous musical groups ever.

ABBA were a group of 4 people Agnetha (bonde) was married to Bjorn, guitarist, Frida married to Benny, pianist. Both Bjorn & Benny did the lyrics & wrote all their songs.
My FAVORITE group since junior high and STILL my FAVORITE!

They ages are between 72 to 77
ABBA is a band who were initially active from 1972-1982.
The name ABBA came from their initials...Annifrid, Bjorn, Benny and Agnetha. The were huge.
The Abba rabbit hole 🕳 is very deep! Can’t wait for you to start the journey
Dancing Queen
Knowing me knowing you
The Visitors
The Winner Takes it All
So many more great songs by them!
Fernando, Take a Chance on Me, The Winner Takes It All.....so many, many, many more. Made it to the end!!
In the 70`s ABBA were the biggest group on planet Earth.
The blond one is absolutely beautiful, surprised you've never heard of them. As famous as the Beatles in Europe.
Always loved ABBA.
Eagle was one of my favourites
They’re the original harmonizers! They were the shiznit!
There is 4 in the group 2 women and 2 men. They are great singers, listen to more of their songs. You will enjoy them.
ABBA are a HUGE MEGGA GROUP ! 😊 Tons of great music for you to discover !
They are now 300 years old together and released a new record last year.
It's amazing that there are people who don't know about ABBA, it's like not knowing about Beatles, Queen, Pink Floyd and so on.
So many great Abba songs... a rabbit whole. Please react to GIMME, GIMME, GIMME (a man after midnight)!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
There is a deep catalogue of songs. You cannot go wrong with this band.
They were MASSIVE back in the day .. you can take any of their songs and it will sound great. You started with a favourite of mine 😃
The gorgeous vocals of beautiful Anni-Frid (brunette) and Agnetha (blonde) always blended perfectly with the musicianship of Bjorn and handsome Benny (with the beard).
Agnetha, Bjorn, Benny, Anni-Frid are ABBA
You should check out their "Knowing Me, Knowing You", "Take A Chance On Me", "The Winner Takes It All", "The Name Of The Game", "Waterloo", "On And On And On", man! Just pick ANYTHING from their MASSIVE song list! They once had a Greatest Hits album titled "The Magic Of ABBA" and that's what their sound is!!!
Made up of 2 couples, they were easy listening, often fun songs. "Take a chance," and "Fernando," were my favorites. Peace and bright blessings.
Those 2 are my favs also. :-)
Winner Takes It All, Fernando, Dancing Queen, but you can’t go wrong with any of their songs. Watched til the end 🙂
More ABBA please!!! One of the best bands ever. Check out "Knowing me, knowing you" or "The winner takes it all". Thank you for a fine reaction, sir!
I believe Abba has had more number one hits than any other band in history. They are definitely timeless.
abba is another deep rabbit hole......you're in for a good time.....
one of the biggest groups in history:)back in the days everyone knew them and everyone sand the lyrics
It blows me away that this would be the song you react to for the first time with ABBA! You NEED to go down the rabbit hole with this group!!!!
That was the single edit, the album version has some great guitar solos
ABBA "Dancing Queen" and "The winner takes it all" (original videos are great) 🙌 🙌
Watched till the end
Their entire catalog is a treasure trove. Pick any song, and you'll love it.
You can , if you want, work your way backwards and start with their newest hit "Dont Shut Me Down" from their last album 2021 "Voyage"
The name ABBA is taken from their first letter in their surnames A = Agnetha (The blond lady), B= Björn (Guitar) , B = Benny (Piano) and A = Annefrid (The dark haired lady)
The group is from Stockholm, Sweden
So please go react to their new hitsingle " Dont Shut Me Down" ...It will be very interesting to hear what you think of their music....After all the group is from the 70-80`s
Hey A, this was an amazing group from the 70s, amazing vocals a group who thru their controversies stayed on track for the music, like Fleetwood Mac...Thanx for the memories, Peace
Agnetha vocals
Björn lyrics, guitar
Benny music, piano, synthesizer
Anni-Frid vocals
That said Björn do the lead singing occationally, Benny only once (We all liked it, but he didn't)
When Agnetha and Anni-Frid sing the same notes it's often refered to as The Third Voice, because their voices melt into one.
They have a rather broad repertoire, both musically and concerning the lyrics. Enjoy!
ABBA Greatest Hits album was owned by one in six Australians at one time. There are two men and women in the band. They just released another albums. Three of the band are from Sweden and I think the other is from Norway.
♥ ABBA! I suggest the following ABBA songs: The Winner Takes It All, Knowing Me Knowing You, Chiquitita, Gimme Gimme Gimme, Summer Night City & SOS
This is such an amazing song, all there songs are fantastic.
Great video, really enjoyed your reaction 😊😊😊
second best selling band in history, 22 worldhits and 80+ could be hits if they just had put them out as singles. Every song is completely different but their sound is very recognizable. They are a unique phenomenon. This song is less know and this official video version is the short version. especcially the outro is very good in the longer version
Watched all the way through. I love ABBA ! The Swedes make good stuff!
ABBA has a lot of great songs and they didn’t speak English as a first language they were Swedish. I’m watching it all. ✌️
ABBA has so many great songs. Try Fernando or Dancing Queen. Hard to say which song is better than another. There are 4 in the group. 2 men, 2 women.
I 2nd those!!
This band was -and still is- my favorite band. I grew up with its nusic. You should listen to the other songs they have. They're amazing! 👍🏽
@@Stefan- Hi, this is not what I have read. I read that Abba have sold more records than the beatles...just.
Peace
Watched it all Adogg! Love them
ABBA big, big, big for years and their music has lasted.
ABBA are a Swedish group, both the women's names start with A and both their husbands names start with B, hence ABBA.
Agnetha Fältskog (blonde)
Anni-Frid Lyngstad (brunette)
Björn Ulvaeus
Benny Anderson
You will have to watch more videos to see the men as they are the musicians in the band
My friend, your in for a great journey! ABBA is an amazing band! We'll be right here with ya, enjoying them all! Get ready!!
ABBA were a group of 4 people Agnetha (bonde) was married to Bjorn, guitarist, Frida married to Benny, pianist. Both Bjorn & Benny did the lyrics & wrote all their songs. This particular song is not as good as the others they had, yet still good. You should listen to many more of theirs, 'Dancing Queen', 'The Winner takes it all', 'Fernando', 'Chiquitita', 'Knowing me, knowing you', & many more!! xx
...and "Does Your Mother Know?" They've got a new reunion album out this year, after 40 years, with lots of great new music on it, too.
I totally disagree with you on that :( So disappointed about their latest album!
@@grace-yz2sr I'm surprised they made one at all, after 40 years, so I didn't expect it would be quite the same as when they were at it full-time, year after year.
check out more of their songs, defo, you wont regret it, they are AMAZING!!
This is my fave song of Abba
Love ABBBA, check out "Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! (A Man After Midnight)", "Dancing Queen", "The Winner takes it all". I watched to the very end.
