    Just realised I should mention for those that aren't regulars to the channel: the guy I'm sparring with/getting my ass kicked by there is Grant Stevens! He makes regular appearances on the channel and is an epic fighter. Big thanks for letting me use the clips!

    1. Focus on form and technique early on. Go slow to go fast.
    2. Gain reps, they don't have to be with intensity, focus on developing muscle memory.
    3. Sleep
    4. Don't be discouraged by setbacks or unusually tough days. Aim for progress over time.
    5. If you can't do a movement yet, then use eccentric training, momentum placement, or related muscle training in order to supportive promote growth.

      If we look at how many rich kids with time and money have become real life batmen, It seems like seeing his rich parents murdered in front of his eyes might have played a small role too, along with having access to an R&D department, and a personal butler who could give 99% of self help gurus and CxO coaches a run for their money. A proper moral compass didn't hurt either.

    I'd be careful with Tech like Halo, I don't know jack shit but when it comes to sleep our body is the smartest tech there is. Finding ways to create the same effect naturally might be a better solution, stuff like cold showers before bed are a great simple way to enter into the brainstem and quiet the mind before sleep.

  • @wesleyangel777
    @wesleyangel777 4 роки тому +16

    Not sure why I've never had the epiphany before but, the more of the Batman and Bruce Lee videos I watch here (the ONLY channel that goes into such depth of training details that I've found!), the more I realize Batman (the character) is very closely based on Bruce Lee (the human(?))! This is in reference to the amount of training, both physically and mentally. Also, in finding ways to make time spent in training is used more efficiently and effectively.
    Loved the video, as always. Another epiphany I've had, is that I'm not as much interested in the Batman potential training techniques (though am always interested in learning more), but I'm fascinated in finding out what YOU have learned and incorporated. I've read many books, blogs, and articles, as well as watched many trainers and videos, but the MOST complete fitness persona seems to be you. May I ask, how do you find concepts that you haven't covered? Also, how do you find the peer-reviewed research for them? I.e. the sounds during training and recorded playback to activate the spindles to "hack" the skills learning process? Thank you for all that you do and I understand if you aren't able to get back to the question due to your busy schedule, I appreciate the knowledge gained already through the video.

    • @popeye697
      @popeye697 4 роки тому

      In more recent years, you mean? Obviously, he wouldn't intentionally be influenced by Lee in 1939, so i assume in more recent decades, the philosophy of Bruce, as far as training goes at at least, was adapted to Batmans background.

    Beautiful video, my whole training of kickboxing, bjj, heavy sandbag lifting, calisthenics training and running is inspired by my desire to become peakhumans like Batman and Bane.
    Now the two best things you wanna grease the groove on, if you wanna become strong like Batman is *sandbag overhead press (full rom)* and *sandbag floor clean to standing hold*
    The heavier you can go in those two, the stronger you will be. If you can do those two things with 400lbs sandbags????? You will be peaking guys up and throwing them around.
    Grease the groove is such an amazing tool that it makes me believe *ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE.*
    Btw Batman is possibly on a ton of drugs to fight off effects of sleep deprivation as his lifestyle makes it inevitable.

    This explains why I achieved my first front lever
    I was doing FL hold and pull up whenever I go grab a glass a water or go to toilet.
    Eventually the front lever is achieved!

    About the only dislike I have of Batman is his anti-firearms policy 🤷‍♂️

      Agreed. He can use them without killing.

      Alexander Ravenson Maybe - but that wouldn’t be tactically sound. I guess I was lumping his no-firearms and no-killing policies together. 🤔

      @@gtdfirearmsllc4759 i agree but how would it not be tactically sound? He uses explosions all the time and a bullet wound would heal better than maiming enemies and giving them life crippling injuries

    • @gtdfirearmsllc4759
      @gtdfirearmsllc4759 4 роки тому

      Alexander Ravenson 3 big reasons: 1. Firearms are lethal (unless you’re running rubber), and even shots intended to wound are often fatal. 2. Even for the best, shots at limbs, especially often moving about are very tricky. Add to that having to miss main arteries and it becomes quite a bit more difficult. 3. The whole reason for using a firearm is to stop the threat, and a threat may take multiple even lethal wounds before stopping in a fight.
      But yeah, even a wound survived from a ballistic weapon can often maim, etc.

      @@gtdfirearmsllc4759 I agree with everything you say. The sad reality of it is that when I went through LEO training they said "aim center mass. There is more important organs to hit in the middle" but were talking about Batman here. Lol The man has perfected everything. Doesn't miss. Im sure in his fictional gotham he would be pretty proficient. (Im joking of course)

    1:30 , plus about the following 40 seconds, is why Floyd Money, made world class boxers look average, it is literally "ultra instinct" from Dragon Ball Super/GT/Z series. Joe Rogan too talked about this regarding the 50-0 Floyd Money.

    I've been either studying ,training,practicing, experimenting with, or pondering martial arts, martial science and self defense for over 34 years. I'm 47. I'm going to tell you something someone doesn't tell you enough. You need more body consciousness when you punch. You appear to be concentrating so much on generating power in your boxing training that you compromise control. Whatever hand you're punching with, you drop the opposite hand upon impact. I'm inclined to believe your first exposure to a martial art was one that emphasized kicking ? It's historically easier for a person who has started with boxing to transition into a kicking art than the opposite. It has something to do with the way the brain wires itself. To your credit you are an athlete, bodybuilder, martial artist, Entrepreneur and disciple of Batman and superheroes all rolled into one! I have tried to be a part of the real life superhero project. My heavier weight and sensitivity to temperature has made that challenging, plus I think the heroes are getting as old as I, I only hope they have done so so gracefully. Cheers!
