Would love to hear your opinions on the use cases where page layouts are still needed.
A great question, for sure. Some of these can change over time, but at the moment I would say 1) Classic experience compatibility 2) record type specific 3) mobile accessibility 4) experience cloud.
We have already seen lots of improvements on some of these, but not enough to completely replace it IMO.
Knew the rec types and mobile (assuming you’re referring to the compact layout?) but wasn’t aware of Exp. I wish that Salesforce would clarify more with some documentation or something. At least I haven’t found any.
Dynamic form is really handy but as you have shown Record page has its own Page layout (which is as details tab), Now if i change this page layout by dynamic form, is it impact the traditional page layout? or what will happen? do i need to change there too! or else?
Keep an eye on the page layout that you use when upgrading to dynamic forms. You can have multiple lightning record pages too!
It's a cool feature.. But for different profile needs to assign different page layouts then how can be done. Different record types.
You can assign the Lightning record page to a profile...
Or even create filters to each field or section in the same LRP.

@@madhuandmadhu great question. As recommened above, you have control for LRP assignment, but you can also take advantage of the really powerful visibility filters. There's a video on that coming soon 👍🏻
