Can't believe some of the comments on here bad mouthing Huell. He was such a great guy. He is just a normal guy and he gets excited. He never means to cut someone off on purpose. It's just how he was. He has done more for California history then I bet any body in this comment section. So how about do a little less judging and be a little more thankful for such a great person who showed us alot of California most of us will never get to see.
the trash talk seems to have been disposed of but want to mention the reactions to it made me notice this is a half-hour, one take, show. As in live radio the show must go on and the bits getting cut off are repetitive pleasantries, variations of goodbye but the story for the audience is not ending
When Huell says "This is going to be a lot of fun!" - HE WAS NOT JOKING!!! See, I live but a mile or two from the Live Steamers, and I've been there countless times - especially with my grandsons. The ride is an absolute BLAST - especially if you're hooked up to one of the club member's actual steam powered locos!! A whole lot of great family fun can be had there. And if your "young ones" haven't has enough of trains - Travel Town is right next door!!!!
In the 1940's---1960's there was a small live steam train that ran on weekends in Stream land Park located in Pico-Rivera . My chemistry teacher Mr. Brock built, maintained, and ran the train. He was a teacher at Montebello High School for many years. I took my kids there for years.

Leonard Evans... Wow! Haven't seen you since 2003? We're Still Kicking. Since the both of our health we haven't been anywhere since Train Mountain Triennial 2015. Hopefull y sometime after the 1st we can get back out there again.............. Take Care Leonard.
11/04/19 Hi Leonard. Go to my you tube channel. PANDERWY1 In there are a few Live steam video's. LALS 2003 BCW Jan. 2005 Train mmountain Triennial 2003. Enjoy. you.The one at BCWRR is me filming Bruno Platzer and his 1.5" Propane Fired Challenger pushing me in my riding car several different views around the track.. A Must See.. Great hearing from you old friend.
Leave Huell alone..that wss just his style and he gave a window to a lot of small groups like the steamer and such..He was a good guy..and he meant only good to people..from a friend of his and remember he can't reply anymore...
Dutch Van Helsing thank you. He never did it on purpose. You can tell he is just very excited. That was how he was. He always had such a good mood and always had a smile. It really bugs me when people bad mouth him. Been watching him since I was a kid. He will be missed.
I have a hazy memory of a miniature train in southern California. The strongest memory is a hillside or slope in the late afternoon sun. About sixty years ago.
luis fuerte said he retired from filming huell after many years.he said you can tell when he retired and someone else filmed him because huell would wear his shirt not tucked in because he was getting a gut when before he tucked in his shirt.i miss huell,i wish they would show the whole episode when he went to the bagdad cafe.loved his interviewing. r.i.p. huell,
I can always tell about what year it was filmed by the guns on his arms... Damn for a period there he must have been weight lifting daily. But so many food episodes and he loved to eat.
Oh, Huell, you were great.(In your other news stories) But, I think on this day you were like Pinocchio on the first day of school when Gepetto was trying to put your backpak on. You were ALL over the place! No regard to safety, boundaries, went right into places you probably didn't have access to, and you asked questions like you had A.D.D.! LOL! I did like the restraint you had while inside Walt Disney's Barn. KUDOS. For the rest of the segment, they were trying to tell you the history of the park and you kept going, "Look at THIS guy!" Then jumping over tracks, getting in between tracks, causing a backup. SMH Ugh. This whole thing was hard to watch. I do love you, Huell, but, again, this was hard to watch. LOL Mad respect to you. I wish you were still among us.
Great video but you shouldn't interrupt those that your interviewing. I don't think anyone was given the opportunity to finish what they were saying before you interrupted them and then went to the next thing that caught your eye.
It actually makes me laugh when Huell cut-off people talking. Not because i approve of this disrespect, but because Huell thought everyone's opinion was just as important as the next guy's opinion. That was just his way in every episode. I miss good ol' Huell.
Huell constantly cuts off the people talking. At least let them finish their sentence before moving on to the next thing. Its like the guy has a 5 second attention span. Very rude.
Mr. Arnold, you're right, especially when he getting older. At the beginning of his own show, he didn't, had good manner of his interviewing. I'm your side! Bob😎
Huell Howser deserves a statue. Such a legend. He will always be missed.

Agree with you 100%. He just got so excited and he wanted to talk to as many people as possible. He is dearly missed.

RIP Huell, thanks for showing off my club. I am 73 and have been going there since the beginning.

I enjoyed Mr. Howser's show, California Gold. There was always something interesting.
Oh Huell, you are missed. My parents and I used to watch him every night on KVIE. Rest in peace you delightful nerd.
WillieG, Huell died about 4 years ago.
He was just a real nice guy and he never deserved to be insulted
You're sitting at home, hating Huell Howser, and he doesn't know; he's out dancing, having a good time.

The scene in the Steve Martin movie The Jerk where he is running a train ride was filmed here in 1978
that is awesome
27:11 Is it a bird, is it a plane, no its steam powered superman..
Bear in mind that this place was renamed to 'Little Steamers' just for the shooting of the 2000 film, Beethoven's 3rd.
Ive been there. But it closed soon after i got there...

Justicescales123 why u fuckin w Huell?
Well that’s because he has a short amount of time on air lol I noticed that too but I get it I’m sure he would stay and talk more
that guy said he comes there 2 or 3 times a month. hmmmm, they said its only open once a month.
It actually makes me laugh when Huell cut-off people talking. Not because i approve of this disrespect, but because Huell thought everyone's opinion was just as important as the next guy's opinion. That was just his way in every episode. I miss good ol' Huell.
lol huells all over the place. he asks a guy questions and before he can answer huell runs off to something else.
The presenter didn't give the poor man a chance to speak
the bricker you obviously don’t know Huell lol 😝
I really like Huell Howser, but why was he being rude to the guy and kept cutting him off every time he would try to explain something.
