Opa-Locka Naval Air Station is also known to have deep ties to the SEA EYE AYE. Many Gulfstream aircraft from companies tied to that agency have been and still are tracked out of that airport. "Gray Birds" they are called.

There is also Avon Park it is now a state prison but it used to be a military base

Homestead is not abandoned. It is still in use as a air reserve base flying the f-16

I work in ocala fl we had an old airplane hanger as our shop unfortunately it burned down it was the last original building of the airbase in ww2 marion county

You didn’t mention NAS Cecil Field. Possibly the most important base in Florida. Sounds like you need a Part II.

Homestead was neither abandoned nor closed. It remains in the Air Force as Homestead Air Reserve Base, and actively used.

Dude you MISSED A BUTT LOAD of places. Orlando International Airport, West Palm Beach International Airport, Naval Training Center Orlando. Plus like 3 or 4 more places between West Palm and Fort Myers

You missed Ellyson Field Naval Auxiliary Air Station, is a former United States Navy installation which has been redeveloped as an industrial park in Pensacola Florida.
