Thanks for watching and for your comments. It seems we have similar preferences. I like your point about outdoor climbing - sometimes when hauling a pad, depending on the storage organization it offers, wearing the chalk bag around your waist is the easiest and cleanest way to get chalk to the route.
Once again Sara, a fantastic video with so much information for us newbies! I really don’t understand how you don’t have 200,000 followers. So much work goes into the production of these videos and we can tell! I love the reviews on the website too, giving us all the details on how to get I’m the best bang for our buck but with safety in mind! I can’t tell you how much I appreciate and look forward to these videos!
I agree with everything here, i have both a bag and a bucket for these reasons. PRO TIP: (not a pro) I keep a chalk ball, in my small chalk bag. Much less mess all around. Especially if you fall on your bag
Chalk ball definitely helps prevent mess. I've tried a couple but couldn't find one that gets enough chalk for my sweaty palms - do you have recommendations?
that's a good point about strangers or children sticking their hands in your chalk bucket. i was just afraid of doing the chalk bag only to keep landing on it and having chalk poofing out each time. ( i just started the other day and am thinking of diff scenarios. )
I started bouldering 2-3 months ago on a weekly basis. I use a chalknbag and a chalk ball/sock, but I am not really happy how the chalk stays on my finger. In think I switch to a chalk bucket and chalk powder. I like he „idea“ (idk if it is common) of just hang the shoes with a Karabiner on the bucket and put your smartphone and mb your wallet or at least your boulder card in the pocket and be ready to go.
I have both I keep a chalk ball in my bag and just let it loose in my bucket some gyms don't let you have loose chalk so it works out and it's only like 20 bucks for a cheap bag that will last for awhile
I climb sport and boulder so it’s easyer to just have a chalk bag. Bouldering I use it more like a bucket tho, i never boulder with a bag because chalk tends to fall out of it.
Thanks for your comment. I’m glad I’m not the only one that suffers from that but am also sorry you’ve had that experience. Other than kids playing with your bag, do you like the fuzziness of it?
I wonder if there isn't some kind of sponsorship for germophobic, cashless, "woke" and other futuristic content? Our UK climbing walls have recently adopted a ban on climbing shoes in the toilets. It's amazing to me how quickly these kinds of refinements get normalised.
I’m not gonna spend the money on either, I’ll just make my own, record making it, then share it with the would. You won’t like it if you’re vegan as it will be made out of leather.
@@Hoan_Josua - Oh okay I totally read it with a different tone then, my bad lol. Not that I was looking for a keyboard fight, I was just genuinely curious. I hope your day is swell.
Chalk bag vs Chalk bucket? Which one do you want?
4:42 Just wondering were did you get the sand block from? Ive been looking for one for a while and Ive never found any good ones. Thanks:)
I just got into climbing. I got myself a bag and I love it. I don’t have anyone to climb with so it’s perfect for me.
i think i will buy one just to put stones in, so i can always have stones in handy, you never know when you need to throw stones at people.
Yo bro cool
😂😂😂😂😂😂 dude this gave me such a laugh. thank you!! 🤣
I’m gonna shit myself
Personally I like to use a bucket for bouldering inside and a chalk bag for routes or outdoor climbing! 95% of the time at least.

Unless they are asshole they wont use your chalk bucket depending on the gym you go in for the chalk bucket.
I got the Moon bucket! love it! The only thing is the draw string is really stiff to open once pulled closed.

I made faces when you talked about kids sticking their hands in your chalk bucket. Who knows where they've been! :(
nowhere good.
Thanks for the Video.
As someone with huge hands, I can't even put one hand in a chalkbag. That's why I'll be buying a bucket.

for me a chalk bag is a chalk bag I just get the cheapest one so if your new dont worry to much
Chalk bucket with barbed wire and a moat...

In many many gyms here and in europe its not allowed to boulder with a chalk bag, so its not really a thing here. Only buckets that stay on the side.
I have a 8b+ chalk bag you know the fuzzy monsters, it happens all the time that little kids will use or play with my chalk bag and it’s so annoying
Thanks for your comment. I’m glad I’m not the only one that suffers from that but am also sorry you’ve had that experience. Other than kids playing with your bag, do you like the fuzziness of it?
@@SendEdition yes I do love the fuzziness
so i wonder if a chalk bag with magnetic closures might help then? spillage on the bouldering minimized when you fall? (i'm new. just guessing.)
I saw that there is also a chalk pot available online to buy. Is chalk pot a size between bag and bucket lol?
Chalk pot is another name for the chalk bucket :)
@@SendEdition oh awesome, thank you!
I just leave my chalk bag on the ground when bouldering don't really need to chalk up on the wall
Yep, I think that is pretty common - sounds like the bucket is a great option for you :)
Eyyyy Momentum!!
you are touching the same holds as everyone else, including those children. And you mind them sticking their hands in your chalk bag? xD

I want a 2in1 T _ T

ok
Are you intending to be somewhat confrontational here?
