Finally someone puts up a video for the 2019 veloster. Now I'm just waiting for a sound comparison of the ARK exhaust system and the magnaflow before I make my decision. But I'm liking the rumble of the borla exhaust. I'm wanting mine to make a little more noise but I don't want to end up with an exhaust that makes it sound like an annoying rice burner.
@@mrfredgaming I'm really happy with it. I live in Colorado and the air is thinner, if you live closer to sea level it may sound louder and pop a bit more.
@RyanDougherty777 you didn't more then 90% of manufacturers. Actually driving and coasting noise matter, hut. I guess cars just rev in driveways 😂 so many car just sitting and revving
@@itgaming473 I've got the Sxth Element axle back, with the straight cut burnt tips, and it sounds awesome. Actually came to this video to compare and I'm glad I didn't spend extra on this. The Sxth Element axle back is more aggressive than Borla's, but the drone is so much less on the Borla. If you want loud and obnoxious, Sxth would be a good option. I think it was worth it. It sounds great, it is a lower rumble than some other exhausts, so if you are looking for a louder higher pitched exhaust it may not be your best bet.
The turbo is a great value for the money. I own the R Spec. The features on the R Spec are amazing for the price. Lane Keep Assist for example. The R Spec is only available in a manual. The N is next level. I have driven the manual and automatic and they are both really fun. If price is a huge factor the N is more expensive, but you get a 275 HP, multiple drive modes, great exhaust, sweet seats, and now the 2021 comes with all the safety features and variable cruise control. I prefer the manual, but that is purely a personal choice, I don't drive in a lot of sense traffic, so a manual works for me. Hope this helps. I would not buy a non-tubro.
I did not get any check engine lights. It has worked great without any problems. I have since added a K&N cold air intake and I haven't had any problems or lights.
I thought id like the stock sound more but it just sounds like someone tossed a bunch of empty cans into a washing mahine when you try to wring the motor out. Guess im hyping it up with the N too much
I rumbles, but it doesn't crackle like the Veloster N. The engine on the N is tuned to make the crackle. Normally the crackle from the exhaust system is created when excess fuel is released into the exhaust system and then ignites in the exhaust. I assume that is what the N does.
Lemon Auto Reviews how can you achieve that with the R-Spec. I have one just like yours but I want it to sound like an N-Line. Do you think a simple tune and exhaust would help?
Jacob Escobar not at all. You simply detach two bolts and remove the old exhaust and replace it with the new exhaust. Took me less than 30 minutes. Be sure and keep the gasket. It is helpful to have any other person to help hold things in place while you tighten bolts.
@@RyanDougherty777 hey i just got one of these and I noticed my mpg has gone down and there is a high pitch squeal when gassing it into the higher rev ranges...any tips/advice?
@@ffs_auggie I would contact Borla. My mpg went up considerably. I get about 37 mpg around town and 40+ on the highway. Did you retain and reuse the gasket seal from the old exhaust? If you don't have a gasket it may cause the squeal. That is all I think.
I talked to Hyundai and Borla they said no. It is axel back which doesn’t require any modification to the existing exhaust, simply bolt off and then bolt on. At SEMA Hyundai announced a series of aftermarket products, including Borla exhaust, that would not void the warranty. My hope would be they release more parts to modify and upgrade the new Veloster.
Ryan Dougherty thank you so much! But my dealer seems not that easy to talk with, they once gave me an example said if I touch the exhaust, the warranty is done. 😂 I guess I need to explain more.
