That's an interesting request, David--how do you think it should be framed? Letting them know that the general public may not know that these boxes can be recycled? Maybe suggesting local municipalities make their own statement through their communication channels? Thanks for your interest!
@@Packagingschool Yes, there needs to be a lot of framing. I'm also going to determine the number of pizza shops and restaurants in my area that have take out pizza, then determine the number of boxes per week, tonnage, and total that can be gained.
Note that the only companies cited in this video SELL PIZZA BOXES! Countries like Japan (who are decades ahead of the US when it comes to recycling) classify it as "combustible waste". Regardless, for people who really want to put the effort in, you can recycle the top if it is not greasy, and then compost the greasy part.
A formal statement would be great to have to present to our local municipalities.

Huh. Interesting
Always have put my pizza boxes into curbside recycling bins they always taken them with cardboard my local recycling collection takes them.
Well done! Some people think you can't if it's greasy. Keep on recycling, Tylor!
but are you sure they actually get recycled. Just because they collect them doesn't mean they are sorted out.
