We are adding generations of classical guitarists in America through our Suzuki Guitar training programs. We start students as young as 3 or 4 years of age. By the time they are in High School, they are playing the Vivaldi Concerto for Soprano Lute and strings RV93. There are growing communities of Suzuki trained classical guitarists in Ann Arbor, MI; Chicago; Colorado; Minneapolis; NYC; LA; and San Diego. This program has put the classical guitar back on the map of instrument choices being made by parents for their child's early training.
Sharon Isbin is always my guitar idol and inspirational music teacher for all guitarists. I called her " Lady of the Segovia's student whom had commissioned many new guitar music and ensemble music for the guitar.

She did have American women students at Manhattan School of Music. I was one of them.
You slipped her mind...
So, John, why on earth didn't you ask "WHY are there so few American women classical guitarists, do you think?" Too political? Or what?
You have to be smart to be a rocket scientist so..
