I love the Chevelle SS styling. This one is off the chain. Really nice mods without taking too much away from the original idea. The 427 is amazing, and the restoration looks to be well done. Beautiful rendition of a great classic car.
A beauty! my only complaint is it’s an air car with no air but to each is own. I’m working on my 68’ elky and am converting to a factory looking air car ( try that ).
That’s one bad ass Chevy love the color. Make it stand out in a crowd. And the 427 is my favorite motor and sounds awesome. Who ever work on this car did a great job. God bless and to all a bless day 🙏❤️
Thanks me and my dad built this car took 3years to put back together. Replaced the frame and the whole front clip is new. And everything is lined up he was very anal on everything being perfect on this car. I have pictures of this car from smashed to the whole rebuilt. I bought him the valve covers and he loved it and went with it. This car is fast and they took so much stuff off this car it’s crazy. This car has made magazines and bulletin boards and i have proof. He was so proud of this car Wish my step mom would have sold me the car but sold it from under me would have gave her 35k that she sold it for and then the guy flipped. 70k is on the body. Car was restored first in 1999 and then again in 2019 after it was totaled. It’s so sad offered 50k cash and they turned it down.
@@awreys1 cool u and ur dad built that ride . Wish my dad did that with me but I build my own I had 69 mustang coupe with 351 w back in my youth I’m 53 now God bless u and ur dad 🙏❤️
I wish people would get the grill and grill extensions correct .The center of the grill should be satin black to match the black grill extensions for the SS or paint the gills on the grill extensions silver to match the grill for the Malibu.Very few people are getting this right and it's not hard to do.
My first car I bought when I returned home from Vietnam in 1970 was a 1968 Chevelle SS396, two years later I bought a 1968 Camaro 396 and sold the Chevelle.
Was the 427 engine aftermarket aand when was it installed into the car? I was just wondering if any 68 chevelles came with the 427 or if they had the option at this time?
Love the 1968 Chevelles. My favorite year. (the '70 is a close second!!) I owned a '68 Malibu 327/275, teal medium blue metallic w/light blue interior, southern California car that was 99% perfect for over 14 years, until I unfortunately had to sell it. It was a NICE original, that I put '69 SS rims and dual flowmaster exhaust on, but left it as a "Malibu" not cloned to an SS. Not as nice as the one you have here, but it was close. Question: How is it that you guys from the Midwest can't pronounce the word "console"?? I have heard a lot of people there pronounce it like the word "council", (like as in student council) but it's supposed to be pronounced like "con-soul"?? Just a friendly poke. Best wishes, and thanks for the video!!
It says cleaning.. i like my cars stock engine bays. All that bright work mesns cleaning every time you drive, done more for show. Gotta say, my stock 350 sounds better than when stepping on the pedal. Of course mine aint a chevelle or Camaro.. mines an impala, loaded with options, split bench which is better in my view.. mine is smooth, quiet with tons of power.. can be driven across the country without back aches.. my second cars a 67 Cadillac.. on a side note; why don't you just state the price..there's a few on UA-cam that'll disclose it which i like, thats how i bought anither car.. didn't have to .com it. Car, price was right.. called at end of video and bought.. simple..
It can't have too much HP with those skinny ass belts. High HP motors usually have a serpentine system but it is a gorgeous car just missing classic AC

This car is fast as hell. Me and my dad built this car. And the doors lined up. R.I.P dad. He loved his car. He loved his chrome.
My dad also had 68 Chevelle SS - RIP, Dad.
It’s a shame you couldn’t keep the car.

my 1st car i bought in 1974.was a 68 chevelle.

Valve covers are chrome. Beautiful car. Hood could be aligned a bit better, along with the passenger door front tho.
Dream car.

If it wasn't for the stripes painted on under the clear I'd be there with cash..almost exactly what I was looking for
No rolling tac bummer
There was and they removed it.
This is NOT a original SS car.
It doesn’t sound that good
It can't have too much HP with those skinny ass belts. High HP motors usually have a serpentine system but it is a gorgeous car just missing classic AC
It has lots HB it did mid 11
In a quarter mile. Plus it bore 30 thousand over. Motor was built in 2021
@awreys1 how do you know this, cause I will GUARANTEE that car did not do 11's with those rear tires.
It sure did i built this car and it did low 11’s. This car beat a lot of other hot rods.
@awreys1 what size ring n pinion did you put in the rearend
