I despise the third one. Max Payne 1 and 2 are some of the best game design and production in gaming, even the designer themselves never topped it. The second wasn't as insane graphically compared to the first.

To be honest, I prefer 2. It way more polished and Bullet Time is refiling automatically. OG is way too unfair at times but it's still fun to play even now.
Totally agree with your point about Max's face, by the way. Didn't like the change in the second game at all. "Nothing is a cliche when it's happening to you" - GODDAMN, this line is so fucking good!
@@1r0zz I know that. Doesn't make me like the model's face more. It felt like a betrayal to me back in the day. Now I'm more lenient, of course, but the writer's face is still the only one associated with Max in my mind.
Besides, I think I've seen this model's face in a couple of cheap b-movies and this is another reason for me not to like it, 'cos Max Payne is anything but b.
When you're talking about the grenade guy at 37 minutes, if you stand on the opposite balcony the enemy can't fire a grenade at you, so you bait it and maybe get some lucky shots off out of his range.

Awww, dude, that guy in the manor with the grenade launcher. If you go to the opposite side of the landing (the room you kill the second of the three tits) You can snipe him from afar. His grenade launcher can't get past the bannister outside the room he's in so you're safe from there.
Glad to see you upload videos again. I disagree with you about the story. Yeah, the government started Project Valhalla but in the end, V is entirely Nicole Horn's doing. Other than that excellent video as always.
I'm gonna be honest, I don't see how a vibrating bed would enhance sex. I mean, a vibrator's good because it directly stimulates the genitals, right? But when you're doing a sex, you don't just jam your genitals against the mattress do you? I mean, that's not how I have sex. Maybe I'm just doing it wrong. I gotta say, it's hard to hear you in this video and the Shadow Over Innsmouth video. I think you might wanna crank up your audio levels a bit so you're not as overshadowed by the game audio. Or, rather, it's not hard to hear you when you talk, but rather that your voice is at a lower level than the game volume when you're not talking. So I find myself lowering the volume when the cutscenes play, and raising it when you're showing the gameplay and talking. Not sure how to better describe it or provide better advice, sorry. And I'll be honest, not having played the game just having seen this video... I really don't like the thing with Mona. So she drugs Max, then hands him over to a killer to finish him off. Why? Why not just shoot him herself? Yeah I know this happens all the time in action movies, but the thing is *I hate it every time it happens.* James Bond, Max Payne, I don't care, stop having villains be stupid like this it makes it seem much less impressive for the protagonist to win when his opposition show themselves to be so incompetent. A hero's only as good as the villain he or she faces. And if she was going to try and cap the don, why drug us at all, why not join forces with Max like she offered? It just comes across as really contrived. And then they do it *again* with Horn at Punchinello's. I get it, you want to make it look like Max was on V when he did his "rampage", so you give him a dose of it to get it in his bloodstream. But once you've done that there's no reason not to have your goons shoot him to be 100% sure of it. The cops will figure one of the dozens of armed guards managed to finally take him down. And people reading this might be saying "well but if they do that then the game's just over!" Yeah, it would be, which means that you need to as a writer come up with a reason for why they don't kill Payne. Even if it's as simple as "they are overconfident" you can do that and make it work but it has to be made clear to the audience. Or heck, have Horn say that this is a new model of V, and they want to see how well it works, so they're using you as a guinea pig. But you turn out to be more dangerous than the figured and escape. There's ways to make this work, it just requires more thought and effort and that's why it bothers me so much: because it's writers being lazy instead of putting in the full legwork required to make an airtight internally consistent story.
My favorite game from rockstar the same goes for the rest of the series. And your voice is really low by the way and the game sounds are too loud but otherwise great video.
Do you like Max Payne? Don't answer that. A rhetorical question.

21:59 I can't believe Mr. Beast has gone so downhill. Sad times we live in indeed.
There're only two games in my life that I've beaten more than a dozen times - Max Payne and Fallout 2.

Love the video, I never knew too much about max Payne besides the bullet time and noir thriller aspects.
One of the all time greatest games. Thank you for doing it justice and honoring it well. Bravo boyo
