      It was nice, but still not the same. If you got the HONOR to watch Michael Jordan play basketball you would know that it's never been the same since he left. And this is coming from a HUGE nba fan to this day. I LOVE basketball, but watching Jordan play is an experience I've never gotten before or since in any sport. He was absolutely the greatest basketball player of all time and no one's been close yet

    Dr G here. Digging deeeep with th 90’s Jordan/early Kobe. It’s cool how the ultra competitive Jordan was more comfortable in his own skin and with his status as the best ever to take a young phenom like Kobe under his wing and mentor him. I think they both benefited from the relationship.
    Regarding Jordan’s first full season in baseball ever batting .200 was pretty amazing. Especially given the size of his strike zone and working hard to get better again sliders/curves as the season went on.
    Keep up the good work. Father/son Thunder tickets await!!???

    • @MJIZZEL
      @MJIZZEL 6 місяців тому +4

      Bout time someone realized that about Jordans baseball stint. I mean you guys that are drafted in the first round in the minors that don't hit .200. Guys that's played their whole life and including in college that struggle to hit .200 and Jordan did it after winning a ring in another sport all together. Nobody else from the NBA would hit .100!

      @@MJIZZEL he was the worst hitter on his team and the worst hitter in his league and it was not close. stop with this BS. yeah he did get better but his ceiling was maybe .250 at double A.

    Everybody who talked about "the next Jordan" didn't really understand what made Jordan who he was.
    Jordan wasn't freakishly good from the word go, but his sociopathic drive to constantly improve different aspects of his game - turning weaknesses into strengths - throughout his entire career are what made him great.
    There's no way you could ever see that just from watching HS or college hightlights.

      @@johncallender6365actually he did somethings better than Jordan. Kobe had better footwork,a better jumper, and he got hotter offensively. Kobe, was drafted at 17 years old and MJ wasn’t considered pro ready at 17. MJ went to college for 3 years. Just because you didn’t like Kobe doesn’t mean you can disrespect his complete game.

      @Mike1122. I never said he wasn't good, he clearly was. He was not as good offensively or defensively, just look at percentages. There will never be another MJ. As evident in today's NBA which is desperately trying to manufacture the next big thing and in Lebron's neverending quest to cram himself into the Goat convo before his star fades out. There simply will never be one. Jordan could be said to be an anomaly. The perfect combination of incredible fundamentals paired with unlimited flash, inhuman athleticism, more inhumanly big hands, high IQ and EQ, and the two most important ingredients people often overlook in what separates MJ from other NBA legends - artistry and a psychotic will to win. He was lightning in a bottle, and we were privileged to witness his career. To have this many elements combined into one person? It will never happen again.

    Great video. I really love watching this because there is story after story of guys coming into the league, having a small amount of success against MJ, and against the advice of veteran players to “not poke the bear.” They would, MJ would teach, they would never again reach. MJ saw guy after guy do the same thing and ultimately slink back into their role as “LeBradford Smith” or whoever else haha. But then comes Kobe Bryant who poked. Took his lumps. Poked some more. Eventually earning MJ’s respect and mentorship and ultimately becoming one of MJ’s best friends. And of course, taking over MJ’s role as the bear not to poke.

      @@MackMainSupreme so what Shaq was hurt. Every single playoff series, someone on some team is hurt. It happens every year. But for some reason, it’s pointed out to downplay the success of Jordan and typically is heralded as a deciding disadvantaged in defense of lebrons loses.
      Why the hate? Why not enjoy both players. I do. I watched both play and enjoyed the hell outta both of their careers but this downplaying or diminishing of Jordan’s accomplishments just stems from typical, flat out hate, from those who think lebron is better. Of course I am just assuming you are that type of lebron fan.
      Am I right? Isn’t that why your making these comments?

    10:40: Eddie Jackson...Eddie Jones...😗 Kobe backed up Eddie his first year but it was obvious that Kobe was next. Del Harris, for whatever reason, held him back. Assuming bc Kobe was a rookie and they were thinking championship with Shaq in his prime but they weren't ready. Should've played Kobe much more than they did.

    you are mistaken. if kobe was the closest thing to mj everyone else is below kobe. lebron isnt the greatest basketball player but for sure is one of the greatest athletes of all time. lots of people say kobe was the closest anyone got to actually emulating mj. how can someone not as good as mj be better than kobe who literally matched every part of mjs game. the world needed kobe, the world doesnt need idiots like dillon brooks and ja moront. those people could have gotten into a wreck without anyone caring

      Yeah I couldn’t stand Kobe during his career either. But he kinda grew on me later, partially because of the rest of the players in the NBA being such soft ass 304s.
