Truck Camper Belly Band Replacement | Bigfoot C8
Вставка
- Опубліковано 12 жов 2022
- Today I replace the vinyl insert belly band on my 1986 bigfoot c8 truck camper. I tried to replace most of the factory steel screws under the insert with stainless steel screws to resist corrosion. Underneath the screws I used a dab of pro flex clear to seal each screw.
Stay tuned for more videos!

Great looking rig. Did you polish the camper? Very shiney
Which products did you use
Thanks
Thanks. Yes I did. I used some collonites fiberglass products.
Awesome video! Which truck do you prefer using the most for hauling the Bigfoot around?
If I'm staying on pavement the red truck. Anything off highway the blue truck. The red truck pulls better with the manual and better performance mods, but the blue truck is built to take a beating 🤣
The vinyl band will shrink a bit over time. I suggest using a bit of black rubber cement at each joint, for appearance and to prevent water intrusion.
Nice job - what a cool camper and great trucks you've got..... great channel too, by the way.
Thanks I appreciate it!
The screws should be under the black plastic and the plastic is to cover screws to keep water out and to hide the screws.
Hey I also have a 1987 C8. I was wondering if you could tell me who makes the stainless steel water fill and ports you have on yours. Mine still has the original plastic ones and they are brittle and broken.
Yeah I got all of those guys on Amazon. Sea dog industries makes the water inlet and outlet and it may have been a different brand for the power inlet but just amazon search 30 amp marine inlet and one similar should pop up. Otherwise check your local marine shops they should have stainless gear like this. Been loving them.
@@OvensGarage thanks for the info! I Also have a direct fill plastic water inlet that i need to replace. You should really do an update video on what you have done to your camper! I saw a hood vent with light, I am guessing some new electric, and paint. Would love to hear about it!
@@travisterrell3730 Yes I'll do an update video on the camper next time we go camping or if I pick it up to work on it!
