Sugar Express 4-6-2 No. 148, Toys for Tots run on Pearl Harbor Day, 2023

I went to US Sugar's, Toys for Tots run, on December 7th 2023. This was a great chase from Belle Glade to Lake Placid with some great 40mpg running. This run was on Pearl Harbor day.

I rode this train last July only that time, it stayed in one city and the whistle was different from the current one and the trip only went 12 miles with 148 and 12 miles with the diesel at the back of the excursion back to the new boarding depot they added when this excursion first started

I wonder when they decided to change 148's bell from using the swinging ringer to the air ringer. Still, it looks great.

Yup, it sounds like the one 611 used to have in the 80's.

It still amazes me they used 148 for this special run. I approve of US Sugar for doing it this Christmas.
