Not playing well goes with football but when that is allied with the failure to pick Botman and change the tactics on the pitch (i.e. persistence with inverted wingers) gives you every right to have a rant. I believe we are at least 6 or 7 players away from having a squad able to cope with the additional games of a European campaign so a finish just outside the europe places could be a blessing

The problem I have is not critising a poor performance, just what I think are some peoples overreaction to it (and I don't necessarily mean you Paul, I love your passion). I know you hate those who are still mentioning last year, but it IS fair to compare, to put in perspective where we really are on this new and wonderful journey. As others have said, it will take 2 or 3 seasons to get where we want to be, even though most fans (myself included) are quietly hoping/dreaming/fantasising about a Europa League spot come May next year..

This is not having a go but I’ve watched various Newcastle UA-cam channels and to be fair most of the comments on Burns performance against Bournemouth had him as man of the match, I’m not saying he was or wasn’t but some fans just have favourites and can’t see if that person played well or poorly, I thought Burn was probably a 7 out of 10 he made some very good recovery challenges, it’s interesting to see fans saying bring Wood on earlier which I agree with but if he had played in the game instead of Isak he would of got hammered if we had Haaland playing upfront it would have made no difference the quality just wasn’t there and creative play was almost none existent and Howe should of changed Miggy and Fraser over if we are going to put crosses in the box but I don’t see Isak as the type of centre forward loving crosses in the box that’s not his strength, so putting Wood on and taking off wingers or wide men defeats the object. Keep doing what your doing ignore and block the haters. 👍
Not sure why Sven needs to focus on NUFC when he has been so good for NUFC. He should be in the team, though I think Burn is a good player too. Your instant reaction vids provide your immediate feelings, and they are as valid as thought out feelings. Great channel but I think you're wrong mate. It's your type of reaction that stirs up unrest from fans. You've got every right to complain about team performances but you targeted individual players just like you did with Joelinton early last season, telling him to get out of our club, wasn't fit to wear the shirt etc, etc. His confidence was shot when he was constantly criticised and personally attacked by channels like yours and fans alike, (remember Longstaffs comments on Sky). Then he moves to midfield, is praised, and flourishes beyond anyone's expectations. What does that tell you Paul? Everyone has a bad shift, even you, no one shouts and screams at you though do they?
Wanted to make a similar point actually, really love the channel (it's by far the best Toon channel out there) but there needs to be a balance between passion/emotion and going ballistic/personal attacks. I appreciate its not the easiest thing to get right, especially live streaming. Always look forward to your and the teams content though Paul.
Botman is a strange one then , because there's absolutely no reason to play Burn ahead of Botman for Bournemouth AT HOME. Looking back at the game then it was 100% the wrong call by Howe, which isn't the only bad call - Murphy continuously being played, not switching Miggy to the left, playing Bruno too deep - Howe needs a wake up call and I'm hoping the Bournemouth game was it. Howe has done great, but all these fanboys using that as a reason not to question these odd decisions, need to also wake up to reality, because it's sadly costing us points now.

There's been plenty to critisise Eddie Howe for in especially Saturdays game where he apparently didn't learn from the lessons learned in the Palace game, and in many people's opinion, including my own, didn't come up with an effective gameplan to break the Bournemouth defense down but that doesn't mean I'm calling for his head by any stretch of the imagination.
Love your passion Paul, the fact is you care is what we all want to see. With regard to Botman, great to see his commitment to our club. If we need Burn's experience, it may apply to certain games but he can give that from left back while we retain the skills of Botman. Not 100 % convinced with Target so far this season and not much quicker that Burn.

I don't buy into the notion some have that Howe didn't want to win against AFC as it meant "beating' his old club. Bullsquat! But I do wonder WHY he left Sven out of the lineup??? He’s actually looked average and made mistakes, hes not in burns league atm. Burn is the best defender we’ve got, schar was shit till burn came in and now number 1 defender because he scored a screamer against Forrest. Burn unlucky not to make the England team

I do agree that it is totally within your right or any fan's right to make critiques of performance or frustrations. However and again I doubt you said this but people saying that overall we aren't improved or Howe needs to go or things like this is ridiculous. Yes the draw to Bournemouth is probably two points dropped but again we are watching a team that I think every week looks like it could win and that is so different then 12 months ago when every week I would pray that we just didn't get embarrassed. The passion and frustration is good I just am annoyed that some fans, albeit the minority, want to basically discredit the progress we have made to date.

Agree with what you say about Sven and fair play to him for sticking around but Dan Burn is incredibly underrated for me, Botman is brilliant aswell we are very comfortable at the back I feel and have no concerns at all, I’ll trust Eddie on whoever he picks in that position however the attacking side of it is where I have I am concerned, we create chances in the game but who can you really trust to put the ball in the net
