I was able to chat with these ladies in pretty much every stage of my planning my destination wedding - early stages, in the middle, right before and even after so I’ve absorbed their advice from different perspectives... I thought it’d be fun and hopefully helpful in the process to share my favorite tip from each of them. @@Selinabaptiste Yes. I am connected with Nicole, the head of events. She was very responsive even when the borders were closed to tourist. The country reopened to tourist this past Monday.
Your dress was beautiful! My favorite tip is to make self-loving decisions. It was actually my fiancee's idea to have a destination wedding once I said I didn't want to have the stress of coordinating everyone the day of or paying for a planner. Ours will be all inclusive at Sandals of Whitehouse, Jamaica (since we were going to honeymoon there anyway) on March 6, 2020. Specifically, my sister was trying to talk me out of it, but I won't let her decisions hamper me having the wedding of my dreams. You have to do yours for you and let them do theirs for them.
OMG Desti Aqura! I know I'm late, but YES, YES, YASSSS to the self-loving decisions! That's my fave too! I actually just wrote a post about my mom not being at my destination wedding and the theme throughout it self-love! In case you need a reminder 😘 So how's the planning going? 3/6/2020 will be here before you know it! 😍

Im planning a destination wedding for 2023. Im also having a small wedding in my hometown for the people thats not able to come out of country, like my grandmothers. I have a lot to plan and could use any help i can get. thank you for posting these videos, i will be binge watching! im thinking about having my wedding in puerto rico or hawaii

Because we stay in a state where none of our family or friends live we decided to do an elopement package of just us two and the children. We thought about planning a celebration dinner if everyone would fly out like that following week and celebrate but that’s also a bit steep so idk about the dinner but we booked our date for our elopement package in Florida!!

👋🏾Sooo...I REALLY had to think about it and MY favorite tip may sound crazy...but it's Chevita's tip about getting the perfect fitting wedding dress. I truly loved my fit, but more importantly, it was a great tip to also remind us that it's okay to push for what you feel is best for you...what is your vote?!? 🤷🏾♀️

ANIYSA Wylie Whew!!! Let me think...mainly Etsy and Amazon! I gotta check the blog to confirm but I remember needing menus, a seating chart, table numbers, name cards (we decided on marble blocks that guests kept and took home), I wanted a personalized hanger, robe, outfits, swimsuits...it was A LOT! My 200 day journal spills all the tea in FULL DETAIL!
I’m working with a wedding planner, I know she’ll remind me of the little things. Yes, I found my dress back in November! All of the tips were soooo good but If I had to choose it would be making self-loving decisions!

A video would be very helpful. I am trying to choose between how much to spend especially bc I will only be in it for 5-6 hours but I want something I will lovvveeee and will always remember so I am torn but I loveeeee Eve of Milady
+Kira Roach try not to think about it that way - if you go by the amount of time, you may as well not even plan a wedding because it’s all one day (or a weekend)...it’s so much about the experience and the memories that will be with you FOREVER! Food, drink, travel, events...they’re small bits of time individually, but when they all come together - that’s the magic! It’s really about what your budget allows for and I’ll go through that really soon! And I wore my dress from 4pm to about 4am so that’s a bunch of time too 🤣
