At MD Anderson Cancer Center, non-small cell lung cancer is often treated with chemotherapy and immunotherapy.
Chemotherapy targets and kills fast-dividing cells. Sometimes chemotherapy medicines are combined with other medicines that kill cancer cells differently.
Immunotherapy is a type of cancer treatment that allows your immune system to recognize and destroy cancer cells.
