Eh, each of those commanders are pretty abusable ones. Sythis was just much faster, thanks to its gameplan being one that's inherintly a much faster one. Even built at similar power levels, others were just durdling for the most part, even after they were given oduble mana and stuff they didnt' have a lot going on.
@@lokumo13 what you are describing is a difference in Powerlevel, especially if the consistency to do this every game is there. Which we can't know, so going by what we do know, aka this video, it is in fact on a different level
@@TraurigeNacht just look at the lists in the description and it will confirm what you already saw - It's an enchantress deck that has all of the expected engines and clear win conditions. It is head and shoulders above the other 3 decks. It will win most of the games it plays in this pod.
Tempest of light. An instant that destroys all enchantments for the low cost of 2W. Theres another one that costs 3W but can be cast for free if you cast another spell from future sight.
Smeagol ends up really strong in a 1v1 setting, as you can pile on the removal/sac/landfall stuff better. I run him on historic brawl and he can be pretty oppresive. 4 player he just doesnt shine as much.
like bro, why the fuck does he run three visits? lmao last night on turn 5 i had 10 lands in play ramping off of smeagol alone (and i missed a land drop)
This sythis deck isnt even fully optimized looking at the deck list there are some upgrades that could definitely be made. Adding archon of sun's grace for more flying lifelink creatures. For sanctum weaver gauntlets of light allow ♾️ mana.
Sythis is one of those commanders you have to kill as soon as it comes down. Letting them untap with her is just asking to lose
100% this! If I’m sitting down to a sythis game, I will mull for removal.
Because even if a fellow opponent kept removal, she’ll be right back down for 4 mana.
Yeah. Anytime someone puts sythis on the table it’s automatic player removal
Literally 3 upgraded precons against it too.... yall should've been teamed up on them from the beginning
That Sythis deck made for a pretty uneventful game, unfortunately
Yeah, everybody was durdling while Sythis was sprinting.
Any deck that does well makes for a pretty uneventful game. How dare!
Sythis becoming more of a rolls eyes deck as time goes on.
Why did no one target sythis with it always having atleast two or three draw engines out..... 😅
As soon as I saw 3 enchantres effects early on, I skipped to the end of the video and, what do you know, the Sythis wins.
Sythis is clearly not on the same power level

Power level is fine, 2 of the decks did absolutely nothing all game but ramp. Exactly two pieces of interaction were used on her

Starting with a Savannah says it all

Just looked it up. Patricians scorn is the future shifted card. And is only free if youve cast another WHITE spell, not just ANY spell.
I freaking love my Sythis....but I changed it for Calix because it was so boring for my playgroup to play against her.
It is nice to see how well enchantress works when it has clear win cons.
The moment there were multiple "when you cast an Enchantment, draw a card" effects, the game was over unfortunately.

i mean, the deck showcased here seems very poorly built. his initial hand alone has some very questionable inclusions

I can see some shenanigans brewing
At 8:23 you guys missed a sigil of the empty throne trigger
the altered ego's should have been 19/19's. don't forget the base stats of the copied creature
Good catch! I knew I missed something.
@@MTGMuddstah and make sure next time to hit the player that drawn to that point more cards then all others together with BOTH dragons xD
That's not an Apprentice Necromancer. Unless it's meant to be a stand-in for the Necro?
Also that Mana Drain looked like an Apprentice Necromancer. xD
Before i watch this movie... I've never seen a Magus Lucea Kane deck go off.... And i say this as someone who built one. :(
Looks like someone has never been hit with Crackle with Power for 40 😁
You will not see it here neither
You never ramp to 16 lands by turn 5 :)
I am building a deck around Smeagol, Helpful Guide
i love sythis
Meh Sythis play draw, play draw.
Sythis made the match boring and obviusly, much faster and strong than the other 3
Sythas is such a snooze deck. Karametra enchantress is way cooler in the same colors. I would have mana drained the dictate or sanctum tbh.
@4:40 WHY DIDN'T YOU MANA DRAIN THE DICTATE!?!?!? That single decision threw the game to Seb.
Ancestral mask would have made the commander one shot
So Sythis was playing with the partner pair of summoners
enchantresses are gross, period
just to help for future pronounciations for sméagol: its [SMAGEL]
Play Tiny Bones you cowards
Lame Sphere of Safety.
