This interview just exposes everything that's wrong with football's media culture today. The coverage is full of these parasitic ex-players who are utterly biased and absolutely incapable of viewing events objectively. Keown describes himself as "going into battle". What is he on? He is not a player anymore, he is a pundit and he is accepting the queen's shilling to provide quality analysis of the sport he claims to know so much about. If his love of Arsenal is more important to him than the truth, then he should go and stand on the terraces and get out of punditry. Stop selling people short and bullsh**ing them.

Keown. Sinclair and Micah Richards all need sacking. None of them have an ounce of honesty or objectivity about the subject they are supposedly pundits for. Say what you want about Carra, GNev, Keane etc but at least they have it in them to criticise the teams they are loyal to when they warrant it.

I actually agree with Martin on this one. I think anyone would do the same for their team. So it may have been biased, come on, like you don't know what you're getting when you read his column. I wouldn't expect anything less and I would hope that any fan of a team going into their derby game would do the same. Simon Jordan would do exactly the same, would he write a column before his teams derby day saying my teams left back, centre mid and striker aren't as good as theirs I'd swap them. Of course not. He was just trying to wind up Martin and as a spurs fan, I applaud that.

I'm saying this now (through very gritted teeth!) if Conte is given the backing by Levy in the summer window before next season starts, Spurs will be the team to watch out for. They're the only team I can see breaking the mould that is Man City and Liverpool. They've taken taken points from both teams in two games against each of them. They beat Man City both times, against Liverpool they were both draws (still creditable results). They deserved to win their home game against Liverpool. In the away game, Liverpool were probably the better team but right at the end, Spurs could've pinched it on another day.
Look I don't want to say it but this is the reality of the situation. They just seem to have more of a togetherness and a better team spirit. Not to forget the fact that Conte, despite being high maintenance, is a quality manager.

But he stood for his club and fair enough . It Doesn't mean though he didn't know the truth. But Being an Arsenal player himself and his team going to battle the ultimate rival, it is really hard. After the game I wanted to see the highlight, but I said no, only not to see the Tottenham players once more. That's how some of us feel unfortunately. Thing is with arsenal the sort of decisions that went against them last night was not a one off. Arsenal have been on the receiving end of bad refereeing decisions for a long time now (arguably more so with var involved). Mr Keown, quite frankly, your opinion means absolutely nothing now. Start a UA-cam fan channel and give BS opinions as much as you want, but when you’re paid for your honesty, and you can’t even give an honest opinion how will anyone ever believe you again?
You’re paid for your EXPERT opinion, and yet you put narrative out there that you don’t even believe. Everyone is entitled to an opinion, granted, but when you knowingly put out an opinion that you don’t even believe, understand why you have lost all credibility.
If Talksport took its role as a radio broadcaster seriously. Then Keown would be shown the door with immediate effect. Then again, what do you expect from a station that employs the likes of O'Hara, Sinclair and Parlour.
I think Keown was absolutely right here. They asked him why he said what he did and he answered it quite clearly and to be honest quite sensibly. But rather than accept that, Simon and Jim continue the same question, over and over because its not the answer they wanted (which is typical bully boy journalism we come to expect from Simon he just says the same thing over and over if he doesn't get the answer he wants which is an effort to convince people he is correct) - Simon was wrong on the count that players don't listen to Martin Keown, a press story undermining Arsenal coming from a relatively recent Arsenal hero can have an effect on players and Keown probably has a number of friends at the club he doesn't want to alienate.
