I’m glad I found a 4C locked woman. I just got locked a month ago. I’m so excited! My hair was bra strap length before I locked it. I’m in the beginner stages but so glad for this journey. Thanks for sharing! 😊
My install took 5 days. 12 hrs the first 3 days, 10 hrs the 4th and 13 hrs the fifth day. I have a lot of hair and average of 14 inches of hair. I couldn't wait to ne done!!
Whew those first two instal days where LONG!!😳 6AM to midnight?! Did I hear that correctly?! Its nice that she pulls out all the stops to make you comfortable because thats a long two days! As always you give great insight 🤗
Thank you for this! Your hair has truly flourished. I am planning to have sister locks installed and am in the research phase. After being natural for 8 years and just being over dealing with my hair, the fairy knots, the plethora of products needed and the frustration still at this stage. This video was very insightful. I thank you kindly for sharing ❤
Beautiful! My sisterlocks will be 2.5 years in Dec and I’m constantly in love with them!! My hair goal is bra strap too and I’m still struggling a bit with the messy top knot ☺️ hoping on my 3 yr mark I can get there
Hi Mrs. Joe joe, thanks for watching! I tried a crown braid and a low side bun until I could make the with high bun work, then when I was close to having the length to having the top bun, bobby pins got me through! So glad that you're loving your journey!
Absolutely beautiful! I have been seriously considering sis locs and you have definitely encouraged me to consider it even the more! Thank you for the info.💛
Thanks for watching! Do you know if there are certified consultants in your area that are taking new clients? I plan to do a video on how to prepare for installation soon. Hopefully it will be helpful!
Thanks shanteriabrown6762! I've been on a skincare journey since 2019! am: CeraVe Hydrating Facial Cleanser, px clindamycin phosphate gel 1%, CeraVe moisturizing cream, black girl sunscreen spf 30/pm: same cleanser, same moisturizer THEN tretinoin .1% (started at .05%) every OTHER day, and finally more moisturizer.
Hi Cynthia, that's a great question! No they're quite different. Here's my attempt at explaining: Sisterlocks are a specific interlock pattern made with a special tool to create the lock. Sisterlock Consultants are trained on how to interlock and create a specific patented sisterlock "grid" (the small square patterns of the lock parts). They look like small braids up close, but they are so small you would not be able to create them by hand alone (although you may be able to do a few rotations without the tool, but not complete the loc). Over time, multiple washes, and regular maintenance, the interlock pattern matures into a true loc.
Do you know roughly how many inches of hair you had before getting it loced? I cut all my hair off a year ago and I really want to get locs. My plan was to wait for my hair to get to around 10 inches before locking it but I’m getting so impatient especially after watching beautiful videos like yours 😭 I imagine that my length retention would be much greater if I loc my hair now.
Don't forget to subscribe (3 year Q&A coming soon)! Thanks!
Love it! Looks amazing!!!!! The hair is giving!
Thank you Alex!
Happy 3yr locaversary congratulations! Beautiful Sisterlocs fullness and thickness with the length is gorgeous.

Thanks for the very in-depth share. Are sister locs and micro braids the same?

I sure do! I had 7-8 inches of hair. Keep in mind that if you wait until your hair is longer, your installation may be more expensive.
@Crista Stylista I’ll definitely keep that in mind. Thank you ❤️
Thank You!🤓👍🏽
Thank you so much for watching Francine!
You are just beautiful
Thank you scorpionmayhem!
Can you show how you pinapple your hair next time please
