An update from Ron on the May 2024 donkey auction

- Watch this video for an update on how the auction in Bowie, Texas went yesterday. It was a long and hard day, and we are emotionally exhausted… but because of you, it was phenomenal.
There were about 35 donkeys at the auction, and we saved 25 of them!! Other rescues got the remaining 10. For the first time maybe ever, we can say that ZERO donkeys from the May auction in Bowie were purchased by kill pen buyers, and zero donkeys will be slaughtered. ZERO!!!
While we didn’t raise enough funds to rescue 25 donkeys, we were committed to leaving no donkey behind this weekend. And we were close. So, we took a leap of faith on about 7 donkeys that were not yet fundraised for. We knew that if we didn’t get them, a kill pen might buy them… and we couldn’t risk that.
But that also means we’re short on the next six months of care for these 7 donkeys. Will you help close the gap in care for these donkeys? Any amount you can give will help a lot. If you already made a donation, please help us spread the word.

Feeling really emotional now...I am so grateful that you had your first "no kill" auction; may it be the first of many. So glad I was able to contribute some for the Auction, money well spent. Thank you for all you do for those sweet creatures. I will never forget the three I was privileged to own when I lived on a little ranch in NM.

Ron, you know what to do, which is right. When remembering to have faith 🙏 and courage within yourself. To remember that all different kinds of animals who have eyes, ears, nose, mouth, and a heart ❤️ also have feels. That is why all different kinds of animals need to stop being killed or slaughtered for no specific reason. Remember, Americans, all different kinds of animals want to be loved too. And need to stop being slaughtered for no specific reason. Animals want to live a life on this earth, too.
Ron, You must be on such a high; but i hear the exhaustion too. Thank you for the work you do. The world is better for people like you. Safe trip back
