I think that's on purpose, it's his song and it seemed off beat in the original but sometimes musicians try to create magic like that if you notice, we need to stop being stereotypical with the way we think sometimes. If you also noticed when they were harmonizing together, it was fully on beat. So I guessed that's just how it was meant to be. Loved it anyways 😅
