13 - "The Day of Atonement” - The Sanctuary Salvation and Our Savior

Once a year in the fall of the Jewish calendar year, there was the Day of Atonement which is also known as Yom Kippur. It was a day in which the sanctuary was cleansed of the record of forgiven sins of Israel. The Bible tells us in Hebrews chapter 8 that the sanctuary and its services is a type of the sanctuary in heaven where Jesus ministers as our High Priest. Pastor, I want to list again the path of sin to the goat representing God's archenemy. 1) sin is transferred to the blood of the innocent lamb, 2) the blood is sprinkled on the veil and/or horns of altar 3)annually, the sin is symbolically transferred to the High Priest, 4) who then transfers the sin to the goat sent to the wilderness. I didn't hear in your sermon that the sin was put on the high priest to be put on to the goat representing God's archenemy. Also, how physically, practically was the veil and horns if the altar cleansed from the stains of blood?
