PLEASE dude Usman would have finished Shields in the first round. What's nuts is people calling Usman "boring" but give GSP so much praise. I remember ordering this fight and it was absolutely hot garbage . GSP's record is filled with decisions against one dimensional fighter's. Couldn't finish Shields, couldn't finish Alves, couldn't finish Hardy.

This match spoke volumes.

    - 16-3-0 (1) record at the major leagues (UFC, Strikeforce, ROTR, EliteXC) on ufcstats(dot)com

    - High level BJJ black belt with exhibition grappling wins over Dillon Danis, Machida, and Gilbert Burns

I was the only one of my buddies that was excited for this, I was big into Strikeforce and knew of Shields dominance. Not exciting fighter but effective one

Can anyone tell me why 2 scorecards were 48-47 ? I don’t remember the fight being super close or anything like that

Jake scraped GSPs eye with his finger nails. GSP had no vision in the eye for the last 2 rounds and did eat some shots as a result. It was not close at all until that happened.

48-47 is ridiculous. GSP mostly played it conservative in the 5th which is why Jake was able to land a higher volume of (non-powerful) strikes. In my mind, GSP easily won rounds 1-4. Jake had a better round in the 4th but was dropped with a head kick.

You know after GSP was in you have seen he seems to say that the next fighter is his toughest opponent and I don't know if he really believes that or hes trying to make them feel good
