As to your question, the answer is, yes we can ask 2 questions in one sentence; but your example here is usually asked as an indirect question. I'll make a lesson about that soon.
eg: ඔයා දන්නවද ඔහු කිව්වෙ මොකද්ද කියල
correct - 'Do you know what he said.'
'Do you know what did he say' - incorrect

There is a difference. 'How do you pay for these' is in the simple present tense. So it means how do you usually pay for these.
