Because with YG the chorus are edm but their usually edm and bass heavy. Plus the visuals in mv’s are usually dark or sexy and usually YG groups such as Ikon and Winner don’t focus too much on dance. But I think it’s a good thing it doesn’t scream YG because they’re going to do something different from YG groups and plus it’s good because after all the scandals and they probably want to start something new. Edit the only thing I would say is very YG is the anthem part
this really isn't yg just because blackpink does edm drops doesn't mean that it is "yg style". there is something unique about yg groups like ikon and big bang which is that they don't fit the idol mold. they are groups with rap centered song that also include a swag vibe to them where members just vibe with the beat. there is a sort of different uniqueness to the songs where you can't find anything like them in kpop and have these really different exotic beats. this group lacks the rap center leader like GD, CL, BI, Bobby, and Mino which makes it very unlike YG.

Rewatching the debut stage again and I just realized how clean cut the boys performed and still maintain a stable voice with an extremely hard and dangerous choreography. BOY is the perfect debut track for Treasure, it really represents Treasure's youth and the following comeback tracks shows the growth of Treasure from I LOVE YOU as schoolboys to now BONA BONA and MOVE as a matured group that's been through a lot and have consistently proven to be kings of stage presence packed with talents & visuals. Because with YG the chorus are edm but their usually edm and bass heavy. Plus the visuals in mv’s are usually dark or sexy and usually YG groups such as Ikon and Winner don’t focus too much on dance. But I think it’s a good thing it doesn’t scream YG because they’re going to do something different from YG groups and plus it’s good because after all the scandals and they probably want to start something new.

this really isn't yg just because blackpink does edm drops doesn't mean that it is "yg style". there is something unique about yg groups like ikon and big bang which is that they don't fit the idol mold. they are groups with rap centered song that also include a swag vibe to them where members just vibe with the beat. there is a sort of different uniqueness to the songs where you can't find anything like them in kpop and have these really different exotic beats. this group lacks the rap center leader like GD, CL, BI, Bobby, and Mino which makes it very unlike YG.
Tho YG artists are versatile af, they are more hiphop BUT this song is growing on me plus we've all waited for these boys to debut in so long so idrc tbh.let them complain all they want, Treasure is finally here.

Rewatching the debut stage again and I just realized how clean cut the boys performed and still maintain a stable voice with an extremely hard and dangerous choreography. BOY is the perfect debut track for Treasure, it really represents Treasure's youth and the following comeback tracks shows the growth of Treasure from I LOVE YOU as schoolboys to now BONA BONA and MOVE as a matured group that's been through a lot and have consistently proven to be kings of stage presence packed with talents & visuals. Mind you most of them were literally freaking babies at the time, I'm so proud to stan Treasure since pre-debut. TEAM 10 let's goo
