Glad you enjoyed the video Celeste g, Don't let not owning a rolling mill get in the way of your creativity. I'm sure you can find someone in your area who would be willing to roll your sheet metal for you. I used to pay a jeweler in my neighborhood to let me use his rolling mill. Or, you could apply a different texture to your sheet and make a version of this chain that's all your own design. Thanks for the sweet comments.

John Ahr....what gu. brass did you use for the moonshine bracelet tool? Did you smooth down the drill holes front and back of tool? This will be my 1st project with a rolling mill...but a different design for a cab set bracelet. Thanx, prof.

I believe that I made the tool from 22 gauge brass sheet. I didn't smooth every single hole that I made independently. I merely went over the whole tool with a little sand paper to remove any burs that would leave a trace. I like your bracelet idea.

Can you tell me what gauge is the brass sheet used for the moonshine template? Thank you!

    • @OnlineJewelryAcademy

I used a piece of 22 gauge brass to make the tool. You can use a thicker piece of sheet metal. If you make large cutouts, you might want to use a thicker piece of sheet if you plan to use the tool a lot. Over time the cutouts can get stretched out of shape if the metal is thinner. I hope this helps.
