There is a 1990 documentary movie called "Paris Is Burning" which features voguing. I had a friend who was a huge Madonna fan back when we were in college in the 90s. She had like 6 big CD folders full of Madonna, everything she could get her hands on, imports, bootlegs. About 2010 I saw her for the first time in awhile, and I mentioned how I'd heard Like A Prayer on the radio on my way there. She pleaded ignorance of ever being a Madonna fan. She's a bit of a hipster....I guess it just isn't cool or something.
