Saejimas section of the game is the best part of this lets play, from his impossibly dope fake murder spree to his escape from Face Off Alcatraz and his arrival at the orphanage just creates prime cut bants from the lads.
I love how 18 guys were miraculously knocked out by magical bullets so Saejima can still abide by the cliche traditional hero values, remember kids mass murderers can't be protagonists, only people who intended to commit said mass murder
@@CheezVT It's a bit easier to calculate now than it was when the game came out to be honest. Now it's more or less 1USD = 150JPY. In 2012 it was actually doing better than USD and in 2015 it was about 130 yen per dollar. Honestly while checking that info for this comment I was surprised it hadn't inflated to more than 200 yen per dollar.
Ah missed one of my favorite lines from Matt in the section on 1. When Yumi takes out the bomb on the roof, “Usually when things are complicated, someone takes out a bomb to uncomplicate them.” Great compilation though. I’m glad to see Face/Off still get some love today …and also Yakuza 4 or whatever.
The "Kiryu has never/would ever kill(ed) anyone" meme is one of the most hilarious misunderstandings ever. The actual meaning behind what the dev was saying about it is totally in line with Kiryu's character though, since anyone he clearly kills is either actively trying to kill him or someone important to him.
The first full LP of theirs I ever watched. Not only did it get me into the Yakuza series, but it brought me into the channel and brought me years of joy
This feels like a top 5 playthrough of the duo. After seeing them all many times over, I think it's #3. #1 Deadly Premonition #2 Walking Dead S1 #3 Yakuza 4 #4 Yakuza 0 #5 Man vs. Wild/Until Dawn/RE4 etc. mega-tie

I think the craziest thing about Gondowara is that despite all the shit with the Tojo and Omi and how modern Yakuza in Tokyo are kinda gone, his family still operates with impunity and has survived way longer than everyone else. Almost like the baby shit made his family stronger.
2:16:15 Another bizarre video on Nico Nico Douga is an abridged version of the first episode from the 1990 It TV series but it's edited like a Dragon Ball Z fight. This is the title of the UA-cam version. "ペニーワイズが「ドラゴンボールZ」をオススメしようとしたけど途中で変な流れになったようです".
I always doubted Pat's complaints about pachinko until I played Yakuza 4 yesterday. It's the definition of "gamblecore," a bunch of flashing lights, loud noises and moving parts designed to entrance old, rich people.
It's basically slots with extra steps. Anyone who looks at gambling machines like that and doesn't immediately see the mentally parasitic nature of them is either naive or gullible, possibly both.
It vibrates when you sit on it and is supposed to help you lose weight passively by sitting on it while doing other things, but is probably just a scam that doesn't work at all.

oh yeah 'tis big brain time
That would still be more easy to understand than the current conversion

Man health insurance sure is complicated. would be a shame if someone... uncomplicated it
3:03:00 Kiryu didn't kill that guy, that vicious, murderous convenience store clerk did

In "Yakuza: Like a Dragon", the boss of the guys that wear diapers and act like babies is a summon that lowers the attack and defense of all enemies.

It takes 2 to 4 hours for livor mortis to set in, so Arai would have been staring at the guy he shot for at least 2 hours before Akiyama showed up.
Missing Matts perfect imitation of Macks "YES"es is tragic :(
This is still gold tho

I wish they would have done the "Final Substory" so I could see Pat get his shit pushed in by Kazuya, Sango, Jo, and Jiro Amon.

When Matt says Gonna Burn Some Muscle it's actually a reference to the Street Fighter II V anime
Too bad they broke up before they could play more Yakuza games

Pat historically likes offensive moves and doesn't care much for defensive moves... he'd run around with 1 HP if he could kill everything with one hit
