Desert Rats /// Road to OCC

Desert Rats 21k was my second race of the 2023 race season. The event aimed to get a hard tempo-based effort two weeks before the Canyons 50k.

This was my second time out at Desert Trail Running Festival. Last year I raced the 26 miler. The Frutia trail system is one of the most fantastic areas on the Western slope of Colorado. Most technical than one might expect.

The race went well. I ended up getting the win and the course record.

The next stop is Auburn, CA, for the Canyons 50k. Time to punch that ticket to OCC.
