In hawaii all beaches belong to the public and there is no fee for parking. Multi million dollar homes, businesses, hotels are all required to provide public access to the beach. MA and RI needs to take their beaches back from the rich & greedy
In Oregon all our beaches are public. No corporations or rich folk own any of our beaches
It’s a state owned road, why would they not consult the owner of the road before passing that ordinance.
3 hour limit for parking is also an issue, people spend more time than that on the beach
Why can’t they just let people live.
Didn't you all have a railroad track right to the beach up until about 1990? I saw pictures of it from the 70's and 80's when it was operating as a tourist railroad and it looked really neat... Everything with transportation was figured out 100 years ago and even to this day communities with railroad tracks that could help road traffic congestion want to rip the tracks out for trails. IF you had kept the tracks you could have had seasonal railroad passenger service right to the beach. The same people who are in the town meetings arguing to rip out a railroad, are often the same people that don't understand why there are so many trucks on the highways when they want to go somewhere...
Really sad that we have to pay to go to the beach just to sit there and look at Mother Nature it should be free I'm sick of all this greed
With endless tax cuts, revenue reductions, city managers have to come up with other means to finance the city! Blame the Republicans for their endless tax cuts, doing exactly what it was meant to do!
The same people that push more and more guns and the party of treasonous Trump that has planes to transform the US into Russia with Republican help! , via their Project 2025!!
Town council is a clueless fool. She has no interest in the rule of law. Only her own interests. Replace her immediately.
Narragansett Town Beach is one of the best beaches in that area, however two huge parking lots have long been reserved for residents only. They are hardly filled to capacity lately, and residents from outside are left carrying beach items from street parking locations. Now town council has nerve to restrict parking on state owned streets as well! Not to welcoming for a town beach, maybe that is the goal. I’m glad this was out to a stop out of the gate.
Do you guys maintain that road there?Do you guys fill the potholes? You keep the curb painted. You take care of any maintenance on that road that gives them the right till you start. Then you ain't got no right
These losers can’t keep bridges repaired, but can monitor you having fun.
Actually they are trying to let people have fun. Imagine you park at 9am, by the time you get your ahit together and walk to the beach, find a spot get set up now it's 9:50. An hour at the beach, now pick up all you stuff and get back to your car or you're car is getting towed. That sound like a good beach day ?
I guess the town probably ought to donate. Some land make a parking lot for people to park.If you're gonna do what you're doing. To a state public land then you know you're the about forgot.Provide some parking for the people you are harassing
Actually the road is owned by taxpayers
If I was the town I would’ve taken down the 3 hour signs like they asked and put up 6 hour signs 😊
Too many people living in the state of RI.
The state was not designed for the volume of traffic that is out today.
The state is a 3rd of CT which is the 3rd smallest state in the union with a population of over 4 million combined. Yea southern NE is definitely over populated
The person that was interviewed drives here from NY! Too many non residents.
Im convinced that the RIDOT likes to make people miserable!
@@rolanddeschain965I didn’t miss anything! Simply put if you park in the spot all day, then noone else can park there and enjoy the beach!
Seems like the 3 hour time limit gives everyone a chance at parking there! Smarten up!
@@sydsyd 1. People usually spend more than 3hrs at beach, shouldn’t have to keep checking watch because of parking 2. Difficult to enforce, Police will be wasting time checking plates and babysitting along Ocean Rd 3. First come, first serve is reasonable and fair. 4. You definitely did miss something imo
Decaying roads and bridges!! Stand by for more Republican tax cuts and benefit cuts!!
The town council woman is like "dont they have bigger crimes to worry about than the crimes we are committing?" Absolutely insane argument.
