You keep saying to 'line up the holes'. That can only be done if holes are predrilled on both pieces. My lid had about half the holes. The box had none. By the time it was done the lid is a bit wonky to close as the holes had to be eyeballed. Would also have preferred to have the hydraulic part of the lid hinge on both ends. Where I bought mine it showed both sides had the lift which was misleading. Quality of the box is great. Just needs to have all the holes predrilled in the right places if the box is to come together properly.
Agree, even where the holes were drilled, things did not line up well enough to just slip the bolts through as shown in the video. Assembly of this box would be so easy if the holes were drilled and the tools required were actually complete in the instructions. The size of the wrenches and sockets were incorrect in my set of instructions. The box is nice, but the assembly was not.
Step 2.3 "The diameter of the screw is bigger than the hole by design." So, how are we supposed to insert the screw!!! No matter how powerful the power tool is it won't go in!!! It's just a lid! Why make it complicated!
We use an impact driver to help the screw to go in. It’s important to start slow and at a lower torque and then once it catches you’ll be able to pick up the speed and get the screw through. If you have stripped out your screws, we’d be happy to send you some new ones. Customer service can be reached at +1 (800) 242-3865 opt 1.
This is horrible. We cannot get the front and back panels to “slide” in place. Not kicking it not using a rubber mallet not putting a lot of pressure on it!!
Sorry to hear that you are having issues with this assembly. We are working with our engineering and production teams to see what we can do to make this better. Thank you for the feedback.
This is really a horrible demo. Like slow down especially when there is a left and right version of the same item and you don’t even allow us to see which one is which.
This is a self assembly nightmare. Using the box instructions and the video, nothing makes sense. The screws have numbers in the instructions, but nothing to differentiate them in real life. I dont have the right tools do either need to spend a lot of money buying them (power tools, adapters etc) or employ a handymsn with the tools, costing more £s. I get why things come glat packed, and that assembly part was easy, the lid was not. Just supply the lid assembled, no stress, no power tools, or additional instructions. I currently have a box witha lid i lift on and off manually. Its probably a good product but useless if itcant be assembled.
Thanks for this video. Along with the instructions we were able to assemble this deck box in no time AND we didn't even argue once ;)
Great to hear! Our goal is to make the assembly process as argument free as possible!

Good explanation
Pro tip: go to home depot and get clear seal and do the trim just for that extra protection.
Sorry, what part do you mean?
Step 2.3 is impossible to do. The screws literally do not fit in the metal holes.
I had to buy thinner ones
I had to use thinner screws and washers
Step 2.3 "The diameter of the screw is bigger than the hole by design." So, how are we supposed to insert the screw!!! No matter how powerful the power tool is it won't go in!!! It's just a lid! Why make it complicated!
Are you using an impact wrench to force the screws in? I nearly stripped the threads and had to back them out because they wouldn’t go through.

Screws are not labeled

The panels don’t slide into place. Looks like the tabs don’t fit into the slots
@@LifetimeProductsAssembly tabs go into the slots but as user stated nothing gets them to slide over into place.
Yep, same problem. The tolerancing on this is awful.
