I just hope you keep the $300 upgrade a reanimator style deck. I want Sauron as the commander of this deck forever. It’s so much fun. I just ordered everything for the $100 upgrade and now just waiting for the $300 additions.
Yea you can tell this deck is trying to do 2 things at once. Half the cards are viable for a Saruman deck. I think either Sauron the Dark Lord or Saruman would be the better commanders for this. Still will need to be upgraded of course. Wake the dragon for example for 6 mana will give you a 6/6 Dragon and a 6/6 Army...for 6 mana.
Songs of the Damned would also be a nice Black Ramp addition to the deck. Add B for every creature in your Graveyard for a self mill Reanimator deck seems too good not to include. Maybe it's part of the 300 version, or are the chances of it being B for 0-2 Mana in the early game too problematic for it's inclusion in your eyes?
Let’s gooo. I like this direction, excited for $300. I’m personally more interested in Saruman but I’m hoping to see the dark lord pop off in the precon battle (if the food deck doesn’t explode first)
Seems like a solid reanimation deck but the commander just doesn't convince me yet. Usually you want to cheat big creatures into play with ETB for 5 mana or less. Even when on cast, it is not enough for that much mana IMO.
I can't wait to tweak the 2nd copy of the precon I got. I have all 4 remaining precons. I am going to take my 2nd copy of this precon and sub in the set grixis suaron as the commander and go reanimator.
I just want to say, great content. This is my second video of y'all's and it seems high quality. Keep working on your chemistry, because sometimes there is dead air. Improv classes maybe 😅?
Disappointing that all of the upgrade videos I've seen thus far for the Hosts of Mordor just dismiss the Lord of the Rings atmosphere of the cards and throw in a bunch that don't fit within the universe. If one plays a LOTR deck then one wants that LOTR feel and it's more about having fun than it is about winning every game. If you want to win every game then just build your own deck and forget using LOTR or any other Universe Beyond deck.
I actually pulled a foil Sauron the Dark Lord and its currently in this EDH deck. I was wondering your thoughts on using this as the commander for the deck. I know that Sauron doesn't have the reanimate effect but the colors work, and it is still somewhat on theme. Plus its harder to get rid of. I still run the precon commander in the 99. Thanks
I dont see the big thing the precon wants to do.. Im a little disappointed. There are only a few big creatures and alot of hmm okay? .. what do you guys think?
@@hagel7208 The second I saw it I knew I wanted to swap it in for the precon. And I got super lucky, at the pre-release I went to I got the promo version. the MTG gods wanted me to use him lol
