I have been wearing this watch daily for the last month. I have been wearing Seiko divers for almost 30yrs, and this is by far the most comfortable I have ever owned. The finishing is flawless, the time keeping tight, and the colors are amazing. I'll be taking It to Antarctica in a few days, where it will be on my wrist for 4mths of work.
20 year watch enthusiast here with omega, Breitling, Tudor, and the name that shall not be mentioned, in my collection and I can't stop wearing my SPB301. Like you I've had a ton of seiko divers over the years. This easily takes the cake. Finishing is great, I love the almost gun metal looking steel, the comfort is unreal like you mentioned, the dial and bezel combo are just 👌... I could go on and on but I'm sure you get it 😏
With the abstract icy relief on the sunray dial and the grooved bezel insert, this reminds me a lot of the SRPD21 Save The Ocean Turtle. Personally I prefer my diver indices to have more contrast with the dial for easy orientation, but I still like this one. My favorite Willard is still the SPB183 Blue Willard. I thought long and hard between it and the SPB237, and the 183 is eventually where I put my money. Couldn't be happier with it. It's both beautiful and subtle.

Definitely “showier” and “beautiful” pieces. I find that these 3 save the ocean releases are nicer than many LEs. Having been in the game this long, I prefer a more mature colorway exhibiting darker colors that essentially age beautifully and coordinate with any outfit. Wonderful reviews as always my friend! It is how seiko measures their thickness. The tiny raised wave logo sinks into the wrist. So the measurement is from the caseback to the top of the crystal.
I was considering this one. Very nice But, for this particular design, I find the green version from the 2 original releases (the other being the black) is still my favorite.. idk?.. I do think about it from time to time.. probably should get it, right? Otherwise, this one you have here would be my next favorite color for this model line.
Damn, this is a really great one. I really love the light blue of the 68 as well. I do not have a willard yet, and the case has always intrigued me! Might need to get this one ^_^
check out the Fieldmaster: ua-cam.com/video/zL1R_VRt4Pc/v-deo.html It has applied indices which is rare for now a days for a Prospex and female endlinks. It wears smaller then size indicates.
@@EscapementWatch 265 is more than fine. Have had multiple seiko autos in the 260 range for over 8 years with no service and still keeping great time within COSC tolerances.
While I love looking at this watch, the 6R35 movement is killing me. After a few days out of the box and it’s running -42 spd. And getting worse day by day.
@@EscapementWatch Thanks for your reply! I’m sending it straight to Seiko for regulation. The crown on the watch is also a bit finicky and sometimes doesn’t screw in all the way. Not sure if they can fix this but we shall see. Pretty sad for something straight out of the box that costs over $1000.

It’s not like I tried to force in the crown, so am wondering what caused the problem. It’ll be interesting to see if they cover it under my warranty.

I have both green and these awesome glacier dial,waiting for orange dial willard.not sure either seiko going to produce it.
I just walked out of an AD with one of these - 50% off MSPR, new. It took all of 3 mins to say to the sale assistant 'wrap it up' 😅😅😅😅
ouch!!! So the AD lost about 5-10% on the sale. hahah But sometimes they just need to move inventory! Grats

I've seen this movement many times, this one had really low amplitude. I don't know if its concerning so I'm careful to praise it.

Go back to your AD it should still be under warranty. They will send it to Seiko and service it.

Interesting. I've handled so many of the Willards, the crown has always had superior feel vs other mid tier Seiko divers.
