I return to this video a week after it came out just to thank you. The idea of buying junk really.... really paid of at least for me and I gotta admit that the thought never even had occured to me. After seeing this video I bought myself the 3k plat pack (which also is on discount right now... so double profit) and started to buy junk in large chunks. And boy have I been lucky with your strategy. I bought 5 parts between 9 and 10 p. So far I got full sets for 2 Bratons, 1 Helios, 3 Galatines, 2 Tigris', 1 Vauban, 1 Ash, 1 Banshee, 1 Hydroid, 1 Silva & Aegis and 1 Soma. And countless other parts on top of it.... and the best thing is, I am just over 500 p in my 3.1k plat. This is maybe the single best plat video on the entire internet. Thanks a lot for the idea.
Many have no idea that most players could care less about some items and in turn they do care about getting 10p. I will admit I tend to educate when I buy junk. When they toss up a vaulted item I will tell them it is worth plat and tell them to sell it separately or see if they want to sell it for some more plat (this still allows me to sell it for a profit) - I can also say that most of my prime sets were made by buying Prime Junk.

Thanks for the videos, I started in Warframe like a year and a half ago and I wasted my original 50p and left the game for some months and then came back and started watching your videos, now my friends are starting to play Warframe and I can share them your videos and prevent them from making my same mistakes. Keep up the good work!

i thought this video will not advice prime junk buying but im quite happy for watching till the end , i had a good deal few weeks ago while trading prime junks, i got 12-20 plat depending on the rarity of what im trading which i thought was cool from the buyer (void trader was in town).
i sold most of my incomplete prime stuff that i dont think i will use anytime soon since my mastery rank was pretty low (mastery rank 4). It is an easy way to make quick plat or for the buyer to make quick ducats. I do like this feature and appreciate both ends of the trade.
just to make things clear i didnt ask for more plat, the buyer typed it in trade chat that he was buying prime junk for 12-20 plat and he was the one giving me plat based on what he saw was worth more...
i enjoy this mechanic and hopefully when my mastery rank becomes high enough i will buy prime junk just to keep the cycle of plat going and flowing so everyone can have the chance to get something with plat without spending a real money on the game.
BTW 8:15 i thought about this method few years ago in my console days but after making a second account i was too lazy to increase the mastery rank of that account so i just stayed on my main. Im glad to hear that it is not possible :)
Someone once gave me a full paris prime set for 8p as prime junk. And yes for some reason, on PS4 at least, the norm seems to be 5 p for 5 parts which is insane but nobody buys higher than 8 and maybe once in a blue moon someone buys at 10 for 5. The economy on PS4 is kind of garbage imo but i'm no expert, I leave that up to you :).

No mate, I made a trade for prime junk at 50p for 5 at one point (selling). Baro Ki'teer is here so prices jump right up as people get desperate. Normally it's more along the lines of 5p

Some times prime junk is great to buy. You may get a lot warframe parts. When i got prime junk. One guy gave me 3 helios parts. And loki prime bp and nuero. If you have a lot of prime parts to complete the parts you have. You may get the parts you got from trading.

Prime junk eh? Yeah I rarely trade for things that aren't in sets. Not because I'm stubborn but because buying sets is way easier than buying each part seperate. Now prime junk is great for dukats. Anywho, nice video my dude.

I noticed people offering "prime junk" for sale and wondered what that was. Now I know, thanks :) As a seller you have to be careful that your junk is actually junk, but as a buyer this is dead simple & you can't go wrong except by paying more than market rate.
Why is this better than music? I can tell you why, you get information, you get the rants, and it's just fun to listen too. Love the videos, try making more vidoes more often(If possible).
Once I was really strapped for plat and asked if selling prime warframe bp counted as prime junk (I was new, I still am, just not THAT new). I farmed some prime parts to sell, but didn't see them in the foundry, and didn't know that they stacked. I thought that I just didn't have enough. He let me know that I shouldn't trade them, and even showed me how to find where my prime parts are. He was really nice.

yeah, cause he threw up a scindo blade (which is vaulted). The point I was getting at by not asking for specific parts was "Don't buy prime junk only if they have the junk you want" basically, dont cancel a trade with someone if they dont have what youre looking for if its "junk" youre saying you want to buy.
XB1: The way that I do it is I buy a mixed trade for prime junk at 5 a full trade, or 8p full trade for warframe junk, tons of people bite, then I sell the warframe junk for higher; and the mixed either sells for higher, or i sell it for 12p full trade. I make tons of platinum that way!!

Just sold 5 of my garbage prime parts for 15p. First trade ever and I already feel like I came out on top. Then I posted I wanted to sell my ember neuro and got hit up instantly for 10p, told him I was looking for 20 and we settled on 15. I would not have made either of those sales without you Neo. So thank you. I'm still fairly new and am just looking for more slots so 30p will go a long way. And this is just the start. Love your stuff, keep it up :)))

if you think about it its a completely safe investment to buy these parts because any parts you end up buying that aren't useful to you you can end up selling to someone else buying junk and you could do that in circles and potentially end up with some rare stuff for only 2 plat a pice

but because its an economy its actually useful somewhat and can be recycled into the system

I started buying prime junk 8 years ago, the amount of times I’ve gotten sets or high ducat items makes it completely worth it. I usually only do 7p full trades though.. it was 5p for full 8 years ago. Oh how times have changed lol

I got a nyx prime for 15 plat, a rhino prime for 6 and a Zephre prime for 12. All of which are vaulted atm, Prime junk buying imho is worth it because you can easily peice together big sets from the junk even if you just get yet another braton prime set, the parts cost you 2 each, and can sell for 20 so 10 plat tops spent for 10 profit.
TBH this guy has no idea what he's talking about. Prime junk is literally ANYTHING that a seller has that is useless to them. Did they farm for hours and only get ONE part of a vaulted frame or weapon? Well then it's junk to them especially if they throw it into the junk trade.

Started doing relic runs to pick up junk or blueprints I don't need for sick ducats, but definitely going to try trading for a ton of parts too, mainly for when the tennocon relay opens

As a supplier of prime junk for 2p each, I can finally see the reason why people buy them in the first place. When I first saw an offer like that in the trade chat i thought it was too good to be true since theyre spending plats on incomplete sets. Now it makes sense why.

For those selling, the standard indeed is 10 plat for 5 parts. Though a tip would be that the price often rises when Baro is available. Especially if Baro brought some really good stuff, ive sold several batches of junk for 12-15p per 5. Likewise, if Baro is a bust, i've seen the price drop to 8p per 5. So it may be beneficial to save parts until Baro is around to possibly get a bit more for your junk.
Not important remember, some communities are different, I know for PC this is the case (since I play PC) but apparently for PS4 it runs 5 for 5.

I love your htmp videos. I have come across them and some of the stuff I knew and most times I learn something. Keep up the good work. My fav piece of advice you gave is dedicate time to trade chat. Don't just throw up your was once put it out every 2 mins
The main thing I look for when I'm buying prime junk is to try to get full sets of items. If you can do this you'll be able to make plat easily, people will always pay for convenience.
I'll have to try this out. I've been buying unranked vault mods and selling them maxed for decent profit. This seems easier. Not to mention with the special tennocon Baro coming, ducats = Big cash.
There is a small work around the starting plat like if u make 1 or 2 extra accounts u can do more sorties(once u unlock em) and give ur reward to ur main

I only sell 15 ducats now and whenever I have double or triple of the same parts from ma daily relic runs..
I save the higher ducat junk for Baro now because I was surprised when I actually bought something from him..
Sometimes when i'm selling say 20 plat stuff and people say they only have 15 plat, i'll say ok 15 plat and some prime junk you wanna throw away.. They rarely refuse..

I sell prime junk, either specifics or actual junk, for 12p to 20p because of Warframe/Weapon Slots. I am not in the situation where I can buy the War collection or something like that. Basically, I am still new to Warframe even though I have seen the whole game. Platinum prices change by the hour. I have seen lower and higher offers in trade chat. For me, "buy slots first before anything else while obtaining free offers from events".

Honestly if you buy a $20 plat pack giving you 370 plat wouldn’t it be fair to spend 100 on Prime junk giving you 100 Prime parts which can lead to the equivalent to 3-5 sets of a prime weapon or more which can go for a valuable price? Buying prime junk can make you rich

Man, just go to waframe market and go to the ducat maker tool (idk the name of the tool, but it is used to find cheap prime parts), and keep profiting, trying to find matching parts for a low price and sell sets.

Apparently _you_ didn't read the TOS. You can make multiple accounts, they just can't trade or interact at all.
It's a good deal buying prime junk. You are collecting everything together and you might even get some sets out of it. It's pretty much trading some time for random stuff and a bit of plat.
The person selling you junk is just saving themselves time.

I just offer to buy prime junk and let people keep putting up whatever they got until I get some real deals. I got a Nova P BP for 2p as a part if a junk deal, got the rest of the parts then sold it for 350p
Nothing can go wrong if you buy x5 prime junk at 10pl. 1pl per 7 ducats it's not the best deal but it's not bad, and that's the minimum you will get. You can use that ducats to get tradable items and earn some plat on the long run, or you can re-sell everything at warframe.market.
I don't know why but people seem to not know that site, it's the main trading hub in Warframe. The prices there dictate the prices all over the entire game, including that underground trade chat. It's not about "For you it's garbage but for someone else it's worth it", there ARE prices for everything. You can get something sold as trash that can be worth 20pl easily.
I asked for a specific prime junk, guy had it, I offered 20plat, he also gave me some random stuff and I didn't know what was up. This explains what was going on, but I'm just saying if you offer more than 10plat for a specific part then it sounds reasonable
Thinking about it, wouldn’t the simplest flip of all time be just buying prime junk for 6:12, then turn around when Baro is in town and “sell ducats?”

Sure, people could just buy prime junk instead, but this is a guarantee that, if they’re looking for a lot of ducats fast, they could get 600 per trade reliably.

Basically I spent 1-2 hours finding decent plat/ducat ratio trades. I wish DE just acknowledged the fact that warframe.market is a thing and just build that shit into the game.
A guy gave me a volt prime set for 20 plat when it cost 300 way back then thats how i got my first prime. I dont have anything against selling prime junk but I hate those new players who overprice things. Like those people who sell prime junk for over a 100 plat. So my advice for new players is to check warframe market daily.
warframe parts yield 20-50 plat per part, and they're easily farmable enmasse from relics. how do you think people are rolling in thousands of plat?

On PS4, whenever i put WTS Prime junk in trade chat i always get people agressively spamming me about that they only buy 5 items for 5 plat which is completely not worth it. Total bs. Can't even get 10 plat for a damn frame for all i know

Weapon slots should cost 10p, it's really annoying to deal with 2 plat, 3 plat, 1 plat, and if 10 plat is a standar, it would be nice to farm prime parts to buy weapon slots.

Prime junk buying is pretty good for plat making, you just need time and trades. If you don’t have anything you need in the junk, turn around and sell it. No skin off your nose.
Hey I was wondering if you Could find out why I can't combine a rank2(6 arcanes) arcane energize, a rank 1(3 arcanes) arcane energize and a solo arcane energize into a rank3(10 arcanes) set. Also where can I put the word out so that DE could possibly change this. Each arcane has a cost of 1 million credits so it made sense to buy a rank 2, rank 1 then a solo until I found out I wasn't able to combine to make a Rank3 set. Thank you and Love your content!
