Interesting video, - that looked an awfully new JD Dozer, I didn't know they made one as big as that. Those blades always amaze me, how the hell the operator can see gets me, or do they work on the principal of 'just drop the blade and push'.
The 1050K has about 40 hours on it at the time of this video, so yes a very new machine
@@EarthmovingDownunder Do you know the cost to buy as opposed to the CAT when new. - I bet it doesn't last as long, (the JD that is), or was it supplied at a 'reduction' to see how it can manage in the hardest of work. Sort of 'semi demonstrator', - JD's are notorious for weak drive trains, especially on their largest tractors, so I hope they have 'beefed' it up on this machine.
This one was out on demonstration with this particular customer. Not much change from a million AUD

Not the best wood for firewood either as being whitewood will burn to fast and leave heaps of ash

I'm actually quite surprised y'all clear cut the forests of oz when most of the continent is desert. What's going into these places? Houses? Farm land? new trees to harvest later?
The area that is forest is large. You can fly from the North to South on the east coast and all you can see is trees. This is being developed for cattle in this video.

The only problem with the stick rakes or any pin on blade rake it's to heavy on front of dozers tippy toeing around
The 1050K handles the blade on front very well
They do they same as the others just more attachments and bigger teeth
