Settle down everyone. The extra time spent on the filter is because this is a biodegradable product, not a petroleum-based product. The soaking and drying times are different.
Use should also grease the filter where it meets the mount, I use motorex life long grease to get a good seal to stop water or debris forcing its way behind the filter.
Nuno Sousa I use the twin air Bio sealant. Take it off with contact cleaner around the filter housing and the bio cleaner takes it off in the bucket when cleaning.
Should I leave on the little rubber piece in the center of the filter? I noticed in the second video (oiling video) that the center piece was not on the filter
How long can you prep a filter and leave it in a zip lock for before it needs used? I have 4 filters and was gonna prep all of them, but I don’t want to waste the effectiveness of the oil or impact the oil breaking the filter down somehow if left for a period of time.
Would it be bad if I let it sit for 24 hours? I don't have much time with work and school and would like to oil it after work and put it in my bike after class the next day
That means your filter is seized. Does it still shift properly, and does the filter stop the bike when you press on it? If not you may need new brake pads.
Then your dust comes into the engine😂😅… The oil is sticky and so keeps the dirt/dust on the filter. Without oil the dust/dirt can move threw the filter.
@@dasatom3060 I can put normal engine oil, or it would be aspirated. I would like to put a thin layer of engine oil on the surface of the sponge filter.
@@badlix2309 Hey, i guess it wouldn‘t really do the job because the oil won‘t stay very long on the filter. It‘s just to fluid, it will run out of the filter and make a huge mess in your motorcycle. I really wouldn‘t recommend to do that. Just buy a 1L Can of Filter Oil and watch a tutorial how to oil your filter and you are good.
There is a BIO Filter Oil from Twin Air that does this Job perfekt. And with the BIO Cleaner you can even wash it out in a Bucket when the filter is really dirty. The Bio Version is nice because you can fill the sewage into the sink without harming the environment. With the normal Oil etc. you have to collect the toxic water and bring it to the landfill.
Laid back but more informative than many others. Appreciate it much!

DONT WAG YOUR FINGER AT ME, GOOD SIR
Lol
Ha ha ha
It’s the right one for my lawnmower
It is interesting to see how you want it done. I have a (recently acquired) 2006 KDX with a Twin Air filter.
Use should also grease the filter where it meets the mount, I use motorex life long grease to get a good seal to stop water or debris forcing its way behind the filter.
And then how do you remove it? I guess it will not come out with bio cleaner.
Nuno Sousa the grease does wash out with motorex cleaner. Essential for a proper seal.. it states in most owners manuals to do this

Do you use a grease gun
@1:38 why do I find this so funny
@Mother Algorithm My God, I am a simpleton! And it's taken me a year to realize such a thing. Thank you @Mother Algorithm for opening my eyes
@@hunterhoff3427 lmao two years to realize you mean!!! If only you weren't such a simpleton!!
@@flagovhate Yes, two years to realize. That's exactly what I said
@@hunterhoff3427 no it isn't actually, you said "taken me a year". This gosh darn simpleton doesn't even know what 1+1 = 2 🤣
@@flagovhate 1+1=1 tho because of some math equation I think

is it fire resistant?
How come the Filters for honda crf250r 21-23 dont have a hole through them how do i install it?
thank you for the best video
What about a Crf 300l one, shoul I oil every layer?

well get a pre-oiled filter
Yes it may catch on fire 🔥
@@Hawklordz It's been 4 years and I think it turned into a thermonuclear bomb...

Can you use something else than this specialized oil? Can I use 2 stroke motor oil?
Henriete Jete Use only filter oil! Putoline or Twin air. 2t engine oil is a bad idea.
I've used 2 stroke oil for probably 30 years. It works fine.
deere3321 and he only had to rebuild his engine three times per year. Bargain.
Hey, i oiled my twin air airfilter and it is blue instead of green

Daniel Daniels lmfao
It's possible you got the Canadian oil and now have to move.
The truth is that your powerband it too tight, loosen it so the oil flows freely turning the filter green.
#bluefiltersmatter
right on man
at 3:10 how can he touch the air filter without getting oil on hes hands?
wtf. this is over killed!
Were you not entertained? 😂

what happens if i don't oil the filter and put it dry? I use the bike on very dusty roads in summer

You could just spray the filter with some of the foam filter spray and install right away instead of waiting 4 hours! RIDICULOUS😑
I think you are ridiculous
If you ever make a video like this and twin air comments saying its wrong your doing something wrong dont even argue
