Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2 by Franz Liszt is divided into 4 main sections:
Lasan 00:36
Friska 5:13
Cadenza 9:21
Finale 10:48
I have been playing this rhapsody for many years as part of my repertoire. It is demanding. With Liszt, you must look past the massive amount of notes, and reach the simple beauty of the music.
I swear you are a most phenomenal player. I wish you would tour (again?) and come through St. Louis, MO. Or if you ever play in Chicago I will make the trip north to come hear you. I bought some of your CD's and share your UA-cam videos with other pianists I know. And your recordings are done so well in whatever studio you use with that Bosendorfer you love. Thumps up!
The right tempo for this famous piece. Perfect interpretation and perfect tecnique. Congratulatios.
Thank you
PREDIVNI PIJANISTA POSTAĆE LEGENDA.NJEGOVO IZVOĐENJE MAĐARSKE RAPSODIJE JE PREDIVNO.SVE ČESTITKE MAESTRO.
Thank you!
I'm not a pianist. I'm not a musician. I cannot make any comment from a technical viewpoint. I've listened to many performances of this piece from Horrowitz to Gyorgy. There is something about this performance which makes it my overall favourite but find it difficult to explain why so please excuse my attempt to do so. I hear a beautiful flow where"Subordinate notes"can still be heard and have equal billing. Perhaps it's the quality of the playback on UA-cam, I don't know. I know only that having listened to many other performances from Mr. Erez I consider him to be a true genius. Like so many people who possess a wonderful gift, it's sometimes accompanied by a negative, self destructive aspect of character., If we are to believe what we read about him. I sincerely hope that, if not already doing so, Mr. Erez will soon again be thrilling audiences around the world.
I breathe in your renditions…wow! I’m sure I’ve ascended to Heaven more than once. I so love you.
This is one of the best interpretations I've seen of this, matching Maksim Mrvica's (which I personally also think has one of the greatest interpretations of this piece).
This is my own cadenza composed for this Hungarian Rhapsody.
TzviErez do you have sheet music for it?
A beautiful cadenza! Bravo Maestro Tzvi Erez!
I love the cadenza
x2
You have captured the spirit in this song that Liszt created. Bravo! You made the piano sing.
Liszt- magical!
Liszt's pieces are extremely beautiful. I like him very much. Thank you for the fast answer!
I usually don't like the cadenza part, but this jazz-ish one is absolutely fabulous! Congratulations!
Ce pianiste deviendra une légende...
Ya es una leyenda.
Mr. Erez! I would LOVE to see you play this piece. It's the best version on youtube in my humble opinion.
There's a certain quality missing from most modern day pianists, but whatever that may be, Mr. Erez, you most certainly have it.
BEST interpretation ever!
Hermoso y más aún saber que eres de nuestra tierra felicitaciones mil
Amo la música clásica ....
masterful!
C#minor. (Dbm)
Lizst- nice work
Beautiful classical playing with magnificent ornamentation.
Undeniably exquisite & excellent!
Thank you, Mr. Erez! I find it really beautiful and powerful.
Just one word ! Wonderful !!
I love your work.
Fantastic !
The best version on u-tube-lots of the others are really staid & flat but this one rocks
I am really surprised by your playing of this piece!
Great interpretation, great cadenza, and great technique!
I thumbed up and added it to my favorites :)
Esto es tan difícil.... parece una orquesta i es solo piano Bravo!!!!!
Maravilhoso !!!!
what a cadenza!
I confess to not being very familiar with Liszt. Thank you for introducing me to this piece. I may need to purchase this performance for my mp3 player.
LOVELY
Mr. Erez
I love your music. May I ask who inspired you when you started to play piano? Did you have any pianists you looked up to? Thank you
The cadenza for this piece is brilliant. Very powerfull.
Did you find it difficult to compose, mr. Erez?
A 1° vez que ouvi essa música foi no Lonney Tunes classic!!!
Would you mind recording this with you playing, as other videos?
Superb quality and performance, as lot of your performances. I really enjoy watching other people technics for this piece.
I think Liszt is jealous .
An amazing performance and breathtaking cadenza.
Superb!
I think Liszt isn't jealous of this. Adam Gyorgy perfomance's far away the best.
But you, Jude, you're jealous, cause it's made by a hungarian.
MegaStuGGer jude??? just because my name? LOL!! Get real dude...
I haven't heard Adam Gyorgys performance, Maybe I'll change my mind when I do.
greetings
One question: how long do you need to learn a music piece like this? Did you find it technically demanding?
lovely :)
I wanted to see you play it.. but it was nice though, and p.s. I think its two s's for lassan.
Hey, I wanted to know, which cadenza are you playing here?:)
Great ! :)
