We watched your pregnancy announcement, your C19 pregnancy, the delivery, and now that sweet baby girl is off to school! Matt and Nikole, we are all so proud of the parents you have become. Cherish these moments. The days are long, but the years are short. 😊

My son started kindergarden as well last week it is such a big moment 🥹 but we have a box for spare clothes that stays in the kindergarden and on fridays we don't have to pack lunch boxes because they do what's called a healthy lunch were they prep and eat a healthy lunch togerher 👍 i love that. greetings from Austria
Wishing Sage a great year! As a teacher and mom myself, I relate on both sides. I’m glad she’s excited though because that does make it easier. I blinked and my youngest is 11 and started middle school this year. 😭❤️
I buy all of my daughter’s clothes second hand and the occasional outdoor item new. Honestly it’s way more fun and original styling with her and much cheaper. We can’t afford such big hauls anyway. I also don’t want her to get really into consumerism.
My daughter is around Sage’s age and you would not believe how much they look alike personality wise🥰 I cried so much in this video that will be us next year🥲🤍
My 3 years old son that just started kindergarten after nursery, wears thst small backpack. We put 2,small snack boxes and smaller bottle with water that the refill at school. So it can be useful (as for bsck up clothes, they stsy at school).
My two / almost 3 year old goes to nursery in stuff I'm happy to chuck straight in the bin if needed because it's so stained with ink, paint, mud and food haha. We have nursery clothes and non nursery clothes including shoes!
Got a 17 month old and I'm already ugly crying at the thought of him possibly going to kindergarten next year - I'm not ready. And I just cried with you too!!! 😢🥺🥰

Hey Nikole, just a thought from me regarding the clothes: Have you ever thought of buying at least the pricier items like the rain jacket/pants in more neutral colors, so Oakley might wear them later on? I understand, little people have certain taste sometimes and of course Sage must like it, to wear it. I always tried to do this when my kids where little (teenagers now, one moved out). I had a boy first and he had all navy blue rain gear (back then there was only blue or pink available). After him I had two girls and they wore the blue rain gear again. I also recall a red snow suit, that all of them wore. I not intend to offend, only a thought.
Woow, thats weird. In Czech kids start to go to kinder 3 yeers old and go to school 6-7 years old 😮. They are still so little. I can not imagine what they do in school😅. But I understand the amount of clothes. I think thats normal and I consider myself minimalist. I just try to get them second hand for sustainability reasons.
I saw the cutest thing on Jessica Braun’s channel. It hung in the child’s closet, and had divided sections Monday through Friday to let the child put their clothes in there.
I notice young people say "officially" a lot. Where is that coming from? It's so interesting to me to watch our language evolve. I'm endlessly curious, I guess. Love your content! Thanks for sharing your babies with us! 💜
We made the same backpack mistake with our first this year. I was laughing at the turtle shell affect of the other little kids and then slapped in the face with reality lol!! The smaller one barely fit his class folder, lunchbox and water bottle in it. We're sliding through this year by the skin of our teeth! 😂

In Canada do you not have a school uniform? We do in Australia and it certainly makes it easy to dress your littles each morning because there is no choice involved. Having said that, everything you got for Sage is very cute.
I never cried when my kids started school. But when my oldest left for boot camp and later left home, I cried for 2 weeks. No one prepares you for that, and it is so hard.
Maybe my child is just too crazy, but I have to say I do NOT love H&M for school clothes! I love their designs, but every time I get them (especially leggings) they all get giant holes within weeks!! Such a bummer because their patterns and colors are so cute.
I love you guys a lot , but I believe as a mom as well , you need to train Sagey properly, teach her manners , not to interrupt you on camera. You need to teach her not to have her way. I mean well. 🙏🏼

Uniforms are not a thing in most countries. Also they are in Canada.
We have uniforms in many schools by me in the US (including my kids’ public schools). I’m in Florida.
