I definitely enjoyed you using both the gouache and pencil. I’ve only done like one dual lighting drawing that I can remember, it was with a teal light coming from the character’s hat rim, and a pink light I added coming from the side (it turned out pretty cool). I’ll have to give it another try using this video.
Also, I just finished reading Brody’s Ghost yesterday, and I loved it. I had been wanting to read it for a while, but the only time I have found it at Barnes and Noble was when I was younger and my mom didn’t want me to get it (understandable, since it involves trying to find a murderer). But I got iTunes money for Christmas and was able to buy Brody’s Ghost and The Drawing Lesson, which I also enjoyed.

This would be a really fun drawing to make! I'm going to go a step further with colored lighting like pink and blue! PS: I love your books on how to draw manga! I first saw them at the library and was inspired to make my own comic pages into a graphic novel. Thank you for your lessons and for taking the time to read this rather long comment.😊

Hey, Any chance of video on lightning? and not just black nad white!. There's so many tutorials out there on how to do it digitally but nothing on traditional colouring pencils. I've been racking my brain to try figure it. Have used alcohol markers, watercolour markers normal colouring pencils and mix of them all but just can't get what I want. I'm trying to draw Kakashi with his chidori and the glow is easy to do but not the lightning part. Please, please 😁

Bit of a Bob Ross scare there when you dumped the whole bottle of white on the side of her face; but man, once it blended out- it clicked, and I stopped seeing a reverse Rorschach blot and saw that bright light source really bouncing off her cheek.
