Agreed. Assuming it was deliberate and not a technical screw-up, I wonder if that's what they were going for. It wasn't long before the "extra intense" 1996 music, after all.
Another point, disregarding pitch, the 0.975 tempo actually fits the 30 second window correctly (because of how rhythmic music works). At normal pace which we have now, the ‘boom’ sounds before the last light turns on.
@@mclarenguy22 I believe the new clock runs ~0.5s faster to account for this. At first, it was out of sync the other way (the boom sounding after the last light) but it was better when the current set came in.
He strikes again. This is exceptional work, as ever. The different angles are sensational, as are the sign above the clock and obviously the segment lights with inconsistent brightness. You know what I'm going to ask: where's the clock music from? Did you slow it down in Audacity or something?
Thanks Adam. Hopefully I'll strike again in about 30 minutes or so... ;) The music is from one of the Challenge reruns, and yes it is slowed down - I think it was 0.975 of the original speed. I thought it sounded a bit more like the 94 clips we've seen.
@@JayLS Oh stop building the suspense... 😰 I have a sneaky feeling it's going to be that Jan 1996 upload you were alluding to last week. Thanks. The music is closer than my attempt.
Superb vid, the colour scheme here is one of my all time favourites
Thanks! It's one of my favourites too, the bold red looks great.
Well well well!! You done it again! 😁
The lower pitch sounds more dramatic, actually.

It's Slightly Lowered But Not Much.
I noticed the COUNTDOWN logo being put on top of the studio.
this was filmed in Leeds at the time and they did have a few different sets

Going back to the music, how many episodes from the Challenge repeats do you have? Is it just those you passed on for countdowngoofs to upload?
@@AdamBeachDesign I also have 1st & 12th July, but I didn't bother with those as they are/were already up on other channels.
@@JayLS Oh. The music in this just seems higher quality than in those uploads.
