WOW!!! this video is a life saver. I was getting ready to throw out my broken Toum and decided to check UA-cam to see if it could be fixed. Thank you for sharing this brief yet very informative solution!! It totally worked.
You said 'olive oil' and added canola oil. What oil to use? I avoid seed oils like canola, sunflower, rapeseed and 'vegetable' oil as they are incredibly inflammatory
Hey! There could be a chance that it comes from the germ in the garlic, so it's usually dealt with before making the sauce since it's already added in. From what I know, it's that greenish core that you can remove from each clove when you cut into them lengthwise, which is tedious.
@@cakebatter550 Traditionally, it is used in a gyro pita sandwich with grilled meats like lamb or beef, roast chicken, or falafel. You can spread it on toast too if you like a strong garlic flavor. It's addictive. It's helpful to make sure whoever you are hanging out with likes garlic too!
@@cakebatter550 Oooooooooh! I made chicken wrap with chicken, lettuce, bacon, toum and flour tortilla. OR I just eat the sauce with cucumber and/or tortilla! It's sooooooo delicious! Thank you for asking! Enoy!
We understand it’s not traditional but most of us don’t want to throw out expensive ingredients (oil) so sometimes a fix is the answer. And we’ll try again next time. And sometimes the tools we have don’t work the best so we make do and use the tricks necessary to have something delicious and healthy.

Super duper helpful, I made a massive batch so you really saved me. Thank you!
I don't make a paste. I put everything into the beaker at once, then blend. Perfect every time.
Thank you so much for this video! I just took my broken mixture and added the egg white in, but it thickened instantly.

What can you do if it's very bitter?

How do you use it?
The immersion blender?
@@JaniceKOREA no, how do you use the toum? Spread it on toast?
If you like garlic you put it on everything. Toum on eggs, toum on toast, toum on veg, toum on meat, toum on everything.
