Its so weird because although Tina and Bette were the longest couple on the L Word they werent the healthiest when you really dig into the dynamic. In some ways it presented Bette as the stereotypical heteornormative relationships. For example Bette as the man( controlling , defined by how much money brought into the household, and Tina as the woman who was tired of sacrificing herself and her dreams. Even though this is dysfunctional, I still kinda liked how they were always in sync and shared the same values. Tina telling Bette was necessary but you could tell it broke Bette. Which is suprising because Bette didnt truly regard Tina. Tina is no saint either, with her confusing identity, and overly appeasing nature. But im suprised Bette would think Tina would hold out for her when shes cheated multiple times. Thats the unreasonable control Bette has that has helped to destroy her life.
Bette cheated once (ok repeatedly but with the same person) and Tina cheated on Bette as well (with the man with whom she then tried to take Angie away from Bette). And they both cheated on Helena and Jodi.... Then Tina also got a job and Bette agreed to leave LA because of Tina's job at the end of the original series.

The sperm donor Bette & Tina chose was black & the egg was Tina's so their daughter is biracial (so is Bette.)
The donar was black so she's mixed race. Sometimes they take on most of their black parent's features. Or in some cases they take on the features of their white parent.... back in the day it was called passing for white. Most of the time it's somewhere in the middle.
