Which is your favorite? I like the teacup, but the winged heart grows on you the more you look at it!

I liked the Mesa Boogie Combo but kind of like the winged Heart a little more. I'm with you on the knobs and the poker chip. They should've been wood. The native American design reminds me of designs I saw back in the late 70s and early 80s that were attached to anything techy. In a way it really reminds me of that hoverboard from Back to the Future.
The “teacup” is based on a Chinese inspired English ceramic pattern known as the Willow pattern or Blue Willow.
I don't remember its name but if winged heart is the butterflies, that one wins
The Red Sands reminds me of the Landmark Series Nighthawks from the 90s, all beautiful guitars.
the "porcelaine" one is my favorite.
I really think the burst finish on the Mesa Les Paul just about perfectly hits understated beauty.
They are all amazing, the MESA Combo would be my first choice (mostly because of the amplifier).
Helllo HK!
@@mohammedrashidt9903 Greetings Mohammed
I do hope all is well with You
You are 100% correct! The best one is the porcelain Song. Plus, who else ever thought to even try to pull this off? I don't know who doesn't enjoy the art of a fine china plate.
Rickie Hinrichsen is an amazing Artisan and a pretty cool Dude.
I watched the recent video about him on the Gibson website.
All time stolen base leader too...
@@Ycjedi I think you mean "Rickey Henderson", not Rickie Hinrichsen.................
LOL, OK, You Got me YCJ

Good evening Brothers of the Six Strings. We meet again in peace.
Indeed we do.
☮
Good day!
So different between Fender and Gibson master builders/artisans. This Gibson stuff looks like something you’d get at a country fair or farmers market. Fender stuff looks like it came out of a museum.
Oh crap, I just posted the same! I also think they'd smell like mildew
You should document the Les Paul/Mesa combo
I know it's a bit spendy but hell that would look great in your future guitar museum, and I know you love one pick up Les Pauls lol
I love the porcelain one. The carving at the base of the neck is a bit of a turn off to me just from a playability standpoint. But that's not what these are for of course.
The porcelain one is obviously amazing, but I like the Mesa Boogie one the best. Has a lovely 50s feel to it. The burst over the carving makes it almost look like it is made out of coloured glass. Love it.
Porcelain one is awesome
👍 the crossroads was nice.the porcelain is cool.the lp and amp looked awesome!
Wow, I LOVE the Red Sands. Never woulda thought to put a Native American blanket type of thing onto a guitar, but it looks amazing.
Yay!
Z is for late. Chloe loves this channel.
And why wouldn't she, Austin almost has an easy radio voice!
My evenings have been in the total control of our Sr. Pug Rio!
Mostly Blind and deaf to human voice (but not kitchen noises), he has trouble getting around these days.
Nights can be difficult for him, so either my Wife or I keep him company if he wakes up.
We just don't like the idea of him being alone at night.
Not to mention, even at his advanced age he can still manage to stir up trouble or "situations".
Rio is the best, and at this stage of his life he gets most anything he wants.
It's just what we do.
don't see how a carving at the heel isn't going to seriously interfere with playing. i wouldn't consider that practical at all. as for the rest, maybe it's just me but they're gaudy
Gaudy and gross. They look like they should smell like mildew
Tough call, but the Winged Heart grabbed my eye right from the first. I feel the Southwest one would definitely grow on my as well.
Rickie definitely has some eclectic taste. I personally like the muted tones and arrangement on the flower Les Paul. It's not bad ass like a dragon or snake motif, but it is beautiful and unique.
That porcelain one is beautiful
Woot woot Trogly's 🙌
That last tobacco Burst one is my fav ..so nice
Maybe I'm an outlier, but I gotta admit that Red Sands really speaks to me. They're all phenomenal work to be sure, but I like the RS' balance between over the top and understated.
Really stunning engraving and designs. The Mesa combo is a real heart warmer. BUT....I'm still in love with the Dark Burst Les Paul Senior. Thanks. Great one.
Pretty sure I had a couch with the crossroads guitar pattern on it... love it.
wow...amazing woodworking...truly incredible
The Crossroads guitar is nice
Saw them at the Nashville garage the Mesa one just sold
I love that "blue willow" motif porcelain LP!
the Chinese blue decoration LP is unbelievable....that is the one that to my eyes is above all else. A real masterpiece that has caught the colours and essence of the original porcelain. It translates so much history and culture without speaking one note even.
Man Rick is the best! He used to play guitar in my friend’s band up in Nebraska before he moved down there, Assembly Required. I think that guitar with the grasses and flowers is probably a bit of a tribute to his home state. There’s a lot of that up here in Nebraska.
The Butterfly in a faded field is my favorite, then the mesa combo set. The porcelain 3rd. After those, nothing stood out as memorable to me.
The only one that matters to me is the last one. Boogibson combo with tooled leather style relief carving? Yes please.
The Mesa is probably the first yellow/red burst I have ever liked. But, my favorite was the PS blue and white.
The SW American Red Plains speaks infinite wisdom to me. Checking the couch for spare change now!
I think he was going for a kind of tooled leather and five on the boogie guitar. So I think the “burst” job on it is quite appropriate.
Reminds me of private stock PRS guitars. These are the gibsons I would be interested in getting back into. But then again I can get a private stock for the same price and it’s a better constructed guitar. Either way, I’m super happy to see some of these flashy guitars coming out of Gibson.
Honestly? How can the size difference in one bridge to the other, let the onlooker see more of the top? Who has a micrometer to see what fraction of a difference it is?
I understand what you are saying, however.
After decades of only using the skinnier ABR-1 bridge the larger Nashville bridge seems huge.
It is one of those things "once seen you can't un-see it".
Going back to 1977 all my Les Paul guitars have had the thinner ABR-1 on them, I guess its just what you get used to.
For myself, I can easily spot the larger Nashville.TonePros bridge as well as larger Epiphone pickup rings, to me they immediately stand out when I see them. To my eyes they don't look right. I think its just due to not owning any guitars with those types of bridges.
Idk, I agree with Stephanie. I don't see a significant difference myself either and I do play them. I guess it's person to person whose ocd to whatever. But just me personally, I couldn't tell you what bridge is what just by looking. All I care about is the intonation screws are facing the tail piece so its much easier to set intonation.
@@tinystar3010 I totally understand what you are saying. When I started playing I was a teenager in the early 1970s all they had were ABR-1 Bridges. Most likely just imprinted on me when I was a youngster!
😉
@@tinystar3010 I'm not mad or anything, but Stéphane is a French/Cajun name. Like Stephan or Steven in the states.
Loved the CS. My mother had a set of fine China that was brought out on Thanksgiving (dunno either) that had (as far as I can remember) close to that same print on it.
Yeah, I’m really digging 3 of them, the Porcelain, the Red Sands & the last one the Boogie one. If I were independently wealthy I would purchase all 3 & simply hang them on the wall in my studio. I am however, a firm believer that guitars are made to make music and so…even the most expensive guitars I’ve bought (think R9 directly from Gibson, new Alpine White Custom, 3 pickup R7 Custom) get played literally every other day.
We need a Gibson Longhorn again but with a roasted neck & a few other updates. Roller bridge, locking tuners, Jim Wagner Pickups in various configurations.
Buetiful art work thanks 4 showing man its great.
That Porcelain Song is OUTRAGEOUS!!
I liked the last one with the amp.
That porcelain style is called Delfts Blauw over here in the Netherlands. It was very famous during our Golden Age.
The Porcelain Song looks like something my great aunt would’ve had in her fine china case. Not sure if that’s a good or bad thing.
I damn near shed tears over the porcelian LP. you need that for the museum.
I have to admit, if I had the Gibson/Mesa set, I would have to take it out to gig at least once.
Stunning work
Ricky looks the part " country boy " awesome work. Thanks for the great video.
A bit above my pay grade...
Randy, Great North Woods Michigan
Upper fret fishing access
The flower lp was my favorite.
The Boogie is my favorite, the carving, the color, it's incomparable.
I liked the Red Sands the best, way cool!
The Gibson/Mesa looked like tooled leather. Understated and beautiful.
All are awesome, so it's tough just to pick one. But I might go for the Porcelain if I can afford one 🤘
My God the Mesa boogie Gibson is beautiful, I think I love her.
The artistic talent is great, but just a little more thought out planning, or concept's . there's a fine line between genius, and what my mom would like.
Wow !
God I love these. It's like watching a really close race in F1 or the like, where you can see the artisans just finally getting a chance to stretch their legs creatively and really let loose and it puts everything else before that point in a new light. Or in anime where it's like "heh, I might have to use 70% of my power." Like, these aren't economical instruments. You cannot really build a career or subdivision of a brand out of them. But I love that we have them anyways, because it really cements Rickie's legacy and shows off his skills, and 50 years from now they'll still keep doing that.
Also it's giving me ideas beyond my skillsets, but I guess that's just what we call aspiration and motivation amirite?
6:29 - This guitar should have been named the Blue Plate Special !!! My grandmaw had plates like this !!!
I really liked that Oriental porcelain themed guitar. that was a stunning instrument.
Wow! These look awesome! Please buy one and show it off!

Porcelain song and Red sand's were my favorite's, hand's down. There's much to love here in this collection but obviously, you pretty much need to be quite wealthy to afford them. These are definitely not intended for live performance situation's. The only thing I don't like is when the fingerboard design's are covering the entire fingerboard. I have a custom shop Les paul like that and it really takes some getting used to because the design is so busy it makes you dizzy to look at it too long, so i try not to look at it too much when Im playing.
I love the direction with this run. A brand designed by the people for the people. Unfortunately the pricing is not “for the people” but baby steps I guess
They all are amazing the set was my favorite they did a very creative thing with this entire series got to say WOW new found creativity is very nice can't afford anything close to that but the company has obviously changed the corporate thinking that us unique and cool, cheers to Gibson on this courageous move. Collectibles is thr obvious brand reason to up the anti in my opinion. Marketing hands down gets the exciting side of this pictures everywhere art magazines too.
I would absolutely love to see any of those documented… Even the dragon… Maybe especially the dragon

I watched the Gibson video this morning
I was able to watch it this afternoon.
Gosh, I wish more people I met had as great of attitude as Richie, he seems amazing.
Man, that's some pretty guitars!!!
You have GOT TO get the white one!!!!!!!!
I like the CS CR1, but I tend to stay away from fancy paint jobs.
If I had the cash I'd probably go with the CS PS1, I feel like it would be worth the most in the long run
Boogie boy.
Porcelain Song is amazing. Full stop.
Great video.
Jesus those are so damn impressive. Probably my favorite super extra Gibsons I can think of. Unique and stylish. Alot of the other over the top Gibsons just looked like they where trying to hard. This is art. Just my opinion tho and I love all Gibsons in one way or another
Blame it on the (Mesa) Boogie (Gibson)!
Bullet with butterfly inlays? Someone alert Billy Corgan!
I dunno- that Mesa Gibson reminds me of colored glass with that burst. I dig it…

Better Business Bureau?
Greetings SBF
I love that porcelain one!! I mean all of them are amazing but that ones my favorite
I go for the set. Mesa Boogie.
What a tremendous artist. Gibson struck gold with that man designing guitars. All are special in there own unique way. Great job T!!!
I like the Boogie.
Is this guy the same one that carved the starfish on the back of the neck about a year ago on that surfboard les Paul?
yes
Fantastic! I think I like the Indian one the best.
The new mexico looking one is sick
I think it would be great from Gibson to upload some videos of their master builders introducing themself and showing them how they work. They definitely deserve it.
Great collection, Red Sands for me
I don't like Furniture looking instruments but that Boogie amp looks awesome
Green inlays on the Porcelain guitar remind me of faded, light jade.
Not a fan of "art" guitars, but I'd take the Fender Faberge "pinecone" Strat over any of these.
I like the boogie combo. But I also really like all except the red sands. The paint job did not look good but maybe it was the point.
Wow I don't reallu like most of the art Gibsons but these are something else. The porcelain paul and carved boogie are really special
I'd honestly have to go with the Mesa Boogie Gibson. That is sweet.
that porcelain les paul is fucking dope
The Boogie 🤙
CS CR1 is pretty sweet. Knock off a zero and I'm in!
Ps 1 is outstanding. I would rock that on stage all day everyday. The details and the effort to make it look like that. Stunning! I can’t get behind mesa branding with these beautiful guitars. Gibson stands for history imo, while mesa stands for…not that.
I don’t think he was trying to burst the last one but instead made it to look like aged tooled leather. Just my 2 cents
😉
Good evening HK. Looking at trading in my 2020 Explorer ST for a new one. A crazy dark green and black.
What LP do you have as your profile picture? HK Guitar
@@sgt.grinch3299 Hey there Sarge.
Oh wow, Dark Green and Black sounds amazing.
What color is your current ST?
@@derpi6250 Greetings Derpi.
That guitar is the surprise Les Paul Custom my Wife secretly purchased for me, for no reason or occasion at all! Purchased used in 2001 it is a special order 1986 Les Paul Custom w/1-Piece Mahogany Body and Neck with a plain 3-Piece maple top and a Maple fingerboard.
In 2002 I had an ex-Gibson Luthier in Kalamazoo over-spray only the top with a coat of translucent cherry. It has been a most excellent guitar all these years. In our family it hold a notoriety as being the guitar our Son used to learned how to play!
I agree with every word you said! ;-)
