I love your videos but you are using way too much grease... Would be nice if you could be more careful with the grease. Maybe by using a brush for applying or so... Have a nice day!

Moises Plata lol... ok-Getting defensive there, Moises. I’m interested to know why you dig Kona. I only know the brand from the Ford Focus Kona addition from nearly a decade ago.
@@focusonthefocus oh come on hahahah. Well, I like the brand 'couse my firts quality bike was a hardtail kona that I used very, very hard (mostly freeride) and the bike still in one piece. At the day I have three kona bikes in the garage, a process 134 2016, a taro 2015, and a process 167 26" wheels freeride monster. Simple hard riding bikes, and far away of been overpriced like other brands. The geometry suits perfectly with my kind of riding. Thats all.

Could not have chosen a better frame to build upon..............KONA and its geometry is some of best in the industry, for my dirt flying, KONA always.
Great build! I rode a Kona Lava Dome starting in the early/mid 90's to about 2005ish. It had a Manitou elastomer fork and I also had the winter elastomeric also for winter riding.
I just recently started watching your channel and you do some amazing work! Thanks
I bought a 98 Lava Dome and loved it. Upgraded to a 2018 and want to get rear hub replaced on my original Lava Dome to pass along to my younger son.
What a beautiful machine. There is something about its geometry that is calling for speed.
honestly, as much as i love their products, it's so nice that you're using tools that aren't Park Tools, like i find it relaxing that it's not all the blue all the time

@@kurtisk.2725 A ton, it rides really well on pretty much everything; I mean it's an enduro bike! It also feels so good at the park because it is lighter than a DH bike

Why is the crank not free spinning...is it intentional, is something too tight.. will it loosen with time...I see this on alot of his builds...
Sram's dub system has a compression dial thing (not sure what it's actually called) it is used to make sure there's no play in the BB/cranks so maybe he went a bit too tight but my guess is the amount of grease he used which will wear in eventually.
@@wompski162 That dial thing is a BB preload ring.
Lots of cranksets won't spin very freely upon installation, this is due to bearing preload in the BB, which will minimise overtime.
