long shot here, but i have pretty much the same setup for my d1 mini but i turn off the power to the d1 mini when not in use, and after so many power cycles it resets the ip address, is there a way to stop that besides giving it constant power?
I have been watching a lot of your tutorials and I am planning on using the D1 mini as my controller for vixen, I was wondering if you have set up more then one in your show
Should this work with any nodeMCU ESP8266 0.9 ? Or needs to be D1Mini ? And how can I configure vixen to detect the device in my network? I mena, where to put the ip address and port. Thanks! Great video
Good point! I'll add them. Here they are: gist.github.com/Snipercaine/ecbe99e4df875a7efa56152e074dda41 gist.github.com/Snipercaine/b0c86e262a7c174c805768ce2efd7e16
Hi.Great video. I have followed your steps and the lights go. Only the lights only go on the main group as expected but also they all go on only one of the vertical groups. I set my test up exactly like yours. Any ideas why the other two groups wont light up separately?
hmmmm, I'm not sure. I haven't used Vixen much lately. Maybe someone here would know: doityourselfchristmas.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?96-Vixen-3 or here: www.vixenlights.com/support/ sorry I'm not more help. good luck!
Loved the condensed video! I feel like a lose a lot of cool things when i can't watch the livestreams!

I am using this code on multiple D1 mini's and they work great other than I would like to add static IP to this code, anyone able to help? Thank you
Can you trigger these shows from home assistant? It would be perfect if I could create a few shows and then have HA start them automatically.
Yes you can using falcon player (falcon Christmas) on a raspberry pi.
@@joeljody77 ok, so in that case you're not using Vixen at all?
@@paulbram2 You can use Vixen to sequence your show and then produce the FSEQ file for the Falcon Pie Player to play.
@@paulbram2 yeah still using vixen. You do ya sequencing on vixen then upload ya sequences to falcon player which has mqtt feature.
is it possible to store frames in esp8266 OR esp32 ?
